1986 GMC SIERRA CLASSIC K1500 short bed WIDEBODY pickup with 454 Engine - California Smog Exempt!!!
Original Diesel truck with a Diesel title with a 454 V8 gas engine swap done about 10 years ago. This truck has a diesel title. The swap was professionally done with a newly rebuilt engine at the time the truck had 65,000 miles. This was about 2007.
Truck has a very high Autocheck score, the report is availableto all that ask. I can send it via email.
85,000 original miles the truck, the odometerhas not rolled over, the truck is all original besides the 454 motor swap. We have the original owners manual in the glove box. Equipment sticker in the glove box, I will post a picture.
Transmission was rebuilt 2 years ago at about 80,000 miles. Should be good for another 80k.I do have documentation for the transmission rebuild.
Truck started life in Nevada desert and ended up here in Southern California past six years or so, never been in any snow or salt. The truck is absolutely rust free. Very Clean
ATTENTION CALIFORNIABUYERS: Whats cool about this truck is that it will NEVER require a smog check. You can modify the engine, put headers, intake, carb...whatever your heart desires and not worry about a thing. So go wild!!! Or drive as it is...
This truck has always been well cared for and garaged. It still retains its original paint from 1986 and still looks fantastic. Imagine what a good buff and polish would do?!
The truck came with just about every option you can think of, power windows, power door locks, air conditioning, front disc brakes, power steering, and becauseits a diesel model it came stock with Hydro-boost braking system. This truck stops better then my late model pickup. The Hydro-boost unit was replaced with GM replacement about four months ago.
Truck runs and drives excellent, needs nothing. All the front suspension was done a year ago and a new heavy duty Aluminum 3 row radiator was installed.
Truck came with a original 700R4 transmission with a 4 speed overdrive. And a two package with 3.73 gears in the rear end.
The 454 engine has plenty of power! This truck can go just about anywhere you point it.
4x4 works perfect in all gears. Locking hubs
Everything seems to work, even the original quartz clock in the gauge cluster still works which is unheard of, if it wasn'tfor the engine swap id say this truck is completesurvivorpickup being 100% original . All the factory wiring clips & hose clips are still in place. The stickers in the engine compartment still look great.
The truck sports new off road tires, mounted on Mickey Thompsonaluminum wheels.
The back bed area is in amazing shape (See pictures). There are a few scratches, but it was never used for work loads.
All the glass is in great shape, and all the rubber and weatherstrip in fantastic shape with no cracking or dry rot. I'm assuming its all been replaced at some point...Very hard to believe it would survive this long and look as great as it does.
Truck does not leak oil, starts up every time. Runs dual batteries.
Came originally equippedwith Air conditioning. And all the blower motor and system is still in tack and complete. I have the original AC Compressor and lines that were removed when the engine swap was done. Just missing a correct compressor bracket to put it back in place. All these parts will come with the truck. I just never got around to fixing it.
The interior is all original and shows a little wear, the seat was re-done a few years ago in the original leather looking material. The arm rest have a crack and the dash has one crack in the middle area and one crack above the gauge cluster. Its covered by the dash cover. Carpet shows some wear, if I was keeping the truck I'd probably do the carpet next. Door panels are in good shape.
Truck is equipped with a brake controller for towing. The electricalhas been disconnected but its all there for easy hookup. Hard line still installed.
It is setup for CB radio, the cable is hidden under the front carpet.
Body is really straight with the exception of a couple dime size dings on the front nose of the hood, and a ding on the driver side lower rocker panel, hard to see in the photos but they are there.
This is a great truck, ready to go to a new home and someone who will appreciate it, Its extremely hard to find a completelyrust free truck in this condition. Still wearing its originalpaint that hasn't been lifted of beat to death.
There is really not a whole lot bad I can say about it, it has some scratches and small dings but nothing like most trucks on the road. The undercarriageis in great shape and the bottom pan of the truck is in excellent shape. Ask for pictures..
