1992 GMC Typhoon Turbo Additional Info:
This is a nice clean and straight driver quality Typhoon. It runs and drives great with minimal issues. This one is #1133, and its 1 of 518 in this color. There are not many left that are this clean and rust free other than some typical surface rust. We looked at many of these before we bought this one and were amazed at how many were badly rusted out. It is mostly stock but does have some period correct modifications that correct the factory defects that all Typhoons had when new. It has had recent maintenance. It only has 63,6xx miles on it, mileage will go up as we drive it. We drive all of our vehicles to ensure they are ready to be driven and enjoyed by the next owner. Mods: Upgraded fuel pump IC line rerouted Upgraded propshaft Rear sway bar Borla turbo back exhaust Gauges (boost, trans temp, fuel pressure) HKS electronic boost controller I-PKTROM2 Pocket ROMulator Air Intake Fiberglass hood Maintenance: Recent trans flush Recent oil change New Bilstein struts New front springs New ball joints All new steering components New suspension bushings New calipers pads and rotors Cooling system has been gone through and checked Everything has been inspected and made sure it works properly new tires 6-17 alignment 6-17 This Typhoon would need very little to be 100% . All it would really need is a right turn signal bulb on the cluster fixed, and has a small chip in the rear fender cladding. The engine temp and oil pressure gauge work intermittently as most 90's gauges do. AC does not blow cold but all the AC equipment is present. General info: The GMC Typhoon feature a Mitsubishi TD06-17C turbocharger and Garrett Water/Air intercooler attached to a 4.3 L LB4 V6 intake manifolds, fuel system, exhaust manifolds, and a 48 mm (2 in) twin-bore throttle body from the 5.7 L GM Small-Block engine. It has a 700r4 and a BorgWarner 4472 transfer case splitting torque with 35% forward and 65% to the rear wheels. The Typhoon features upgraded brakes, and sport modifications to the standard suspensions. Output was 280 hp and 360 lb·ft Values on these are going up. This is a nice useable family collector hot rod that will appreciate in value as you enjoy it. Give us a call to schedule a time to take a look at this one in person. The pictures do not do it justice.
