This is a 1969 GMC ½ ton 4WD Model TK truck with a clear Montana title VIN I bought this 4x4 from a neighbor/friend, he had rolled it a long time ago, and ended up putting a chevy body on the GMC frame so it is halfway to rat rod status already
According to the fellow I bought it from, it has a 350 Chevy balanced and blueprinted engine with about 25000 miles on it and a4 BBL carb and headersThe transfer case and transmission were removed because they got broke when they checked the frame for straightness. They broke a couple of pieces on them.It is my understanding that all the parts are there to make this truck road ready but I haven’t yet tested that theory. In addition to that, I am including many different extra parts. There are 2 transfer cases and 2 transmissions.
I thought I would have more time to work on this project but I have too many other irons in the fire so this one has to go.This would make a nice rat rod project. You can see from the pictures all of the parts that are included. There is also an extra rear window; all the glass currently in the truck is good except for the windshield.
The tires are marginal but the rims are chrome. It hasn’t run for a few years. I have lots more pictures available if you would like to see them. It has a true Montana brush guard on it. The only real significant body damage in on the right front side where the bumper has been pulled out a bit. Overall the rest of the truck body is in good solid condition. As seen in pictures, the wood in the pickup bed has some issues and needs to be replaced. This truck would also be a good candidate for a restoration project.
Typical of these models there is some rust on the floorboards but not too bad overall. The rest seems to be relatively rust free. Cab interior is okay, dash has some cracking issues due to age and exposure.
If I don’t get an offer that I can live with, I will probably go ahead and fix this up myself, but I’d rather have it out of my hair.
