1991 GMC Sonoma Additional Info:
1991 GMC Syclone. One of 2998 made.
This is Syclone number #968 of 2998 in the Sportmachines Syclone/Typhoon registry. Spent most of it's time in Florida and Georgia. This truck is completely rust free and just underwent a half-restoration. I have a little under $12,000 in receipts from the restoration, not including the price of the truck itself. The truck was repainted in June 2016 back to factory black and the cladding was coated in Satin black to match the factory hue. The engine still runs very strong and the transmission was replaced this year. Temperature never goes above a quarter of the gauge and oil pressure is above 60 PSI (checked with a manual gauge).
91k original miles on the truck. The truck is definitely well cared for. AC and heat work great and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. It's always garaged in my climate-controlled unit with my other cars and hasn't been rained on since the repaint. The truck is on original C4 ZR1 Corvette wheels with Nexan 275/40/ZR17 tires all around with 85% tread life. There is a cold-air intake installed and the battery has been moved to the front of the bed The truck's bed has been Rhino lined which I can provide photos of. The truck also has a Moates adjustable tuner installed. This was present when I purchased the truck, but it really ran great with it so I decided to keep it.
I am an honest seller and I will disclose everything I know about the vehicle. It's a solid 9 out of 10. No used vehicle is ever a 10 in my book. The cladding is 25 years old, just like the truck. There is a small break in the driver's front fender piece and a couple of the mounts were broken on the original cladding. New mounts were made and put in their place during restoration so it fits just as it should, but that is noteworthy.
I've sold a couple cars on eBay before. I know all the scams are garbage. I do not need help selling. I will report to eBay anything that seems out of the ordinary. This truck is not cheap, so please bid to own. Credit unions will finance it. Just check NADA's retail value on the 1991 GMC Syclone. This is a quality truck. It does show to have been in an accident on Carfax. Most 25 year old cars have. I and the restoration shop have inspected the vehicle and know it to be solid. The body lines all line up as do the cladding. Anyone that knows about Syclone's/Typhoons know the cladding never lines up well. The engine also shows to have been replaced in March 1991 according to the SportMachines registry. I don't know why it needed replacing after a month, but I can assure you it runs strong and has had the same engine for the last 25 years now. This is a quality restoration by a quality shop.
This is truly an incredible vehicle. There's nothing like it that's been made since and it definitely has a place in GM history. I am a private seller, not a dealer. Just someone that loves cars. I love driving it and have at least 60+ more full res photos I can email/text including VIN tags, stamps, original owners manual, maintenance log, etc. Any questions about that, feel free to ask me.
For questions, please use my phone number or email. I'm much quicker to respond there. Call or text me at 316-992-2590to ask about the truck. My email is jaywlauer@gmail.com
Thanks and happy bidding!
