144cc inline six engine
Turns over and has been running, but not driving.
The body panels are in good shape and seem to have little to no body repairs and have straight panels. The paint is in poor condition and it is not the original color. The car may have more rust, but these are the most noticeable. On the roof there is rust and under the rear right wheel well there are 5 or 6 small rust holes. Both of the bumpers have a few dents and some rust. It has little rust for a car this age. One of the quarter panels is missing the Falcon logo. I found one that might fit. The quarter panel does not have the right holes to fit the one I found. There may have been originally a dealer insignia there. Several areas of the weather stripping are cracking around the front and rear windshields.
The brakes can use a going through. They were working alright a few years ago but barely work now if at all. The emergency brake lever is stuck. The car runs although it does not appear to be getting gas to the carburetor. It could be a bad fuel pump or clogged fuel line. I do have the original fuel pump which might be able to be repaired. I had its transmission rebuilt, fuel tank cleaned, distributor gone through, and a new clutch. The transmission seems to not stay in reverse and I have not been able to test if the transmission is working properly. The previous owner installed a floor shifter kit which left a hole in the floorboard above the transmission. Also the previous owner installed a different carburetor, tachometer and water/oil/volts gauge. They included most of the original carburetor. It has a non-original muffler.
The radio is currently removed and I believe it is not working, but I have not tested it. The interior is not in too bad of shape. The dash looks good other than whoever removed the radio bent the housing a little bit on the dashboard. In the pictures the front headlight shroud is missing, but I still have it and it has a dent. The carpet is in bad shape. The chair covers can use some repairs. The interior roof fabric has been removed. No seatbelts.
The speedometer does not work and I believe that it needs a new cable. The odometer reads 71953. Tires hold air, but are old. The rims are not original.
All the windows are in good shape except the windshield has a large crack but it should not be too hard to find a replacement. New Battery purchased August 2016. The following items will be included, but are not in the pictures: air cleaner (maybe incomplete), Ford Shop Manual for Ford Falcon 1960-1962, Fuel Pump (probably not working).
