1966 Ford E-Series Van Econoline Supervan Additional Info:

NO RESERVE !!!! HIGHEST BID WINS !!!!
Up for auction is a very unique 1966 Ford Econoline Supervan. It is a fourth owner van. It was originally a Singer Sewing Machine service van and is now owned by Tim Sutton Photography. You will not find a more unique paint job on the planet. The paint was done by Jack, Malex and Chris from Starlight Customs in Torrance, CA. The paint itself is a Valspar base with House of Kolor candies applied. Leafing spans the range of every type of leaf they could find. All pin striping was done by Malex Pinstripping in Torrance, CA. The striping alone took two weeks in total hours spent. This is a one-of-a-kind paint job, never to be replicated and will no doubt go down in history! The paint has some rock chips in the front. Also some small chips here and there from being driven. It is photographed all the time by anyone that sees it. It almost caused two wrecks in Texas, but that's another story.
It has a two-inch drop in front via leaf springs. In the rear it's raked with three-inch blocks. The rear wheels are on inch wheel spacers. The exterior has been gone over, deleting all of the body seams. The front grill area has been widened from stock and had a Watson style tube grill put in. Along with the grill he had bumperettes and headlight grills made. All the tubing work was done by Glory Grills who has been doing them since the '60s. Other body modifications include a Frenched CB antenna done by the world renowned lead slinger Brad Masterson, done in the Barris shop in Lynwood, CA. All new glass, all the way around, including the windshield. All the glass except for the windshield is smoked glass. The passenger side glass has a crack in it. All the rubbers, belts and bumpers have been replaced, including body gaskets. The wheels are original Cragar wheels, 7-inch in the front and 8-inch in the rear. New BFG tires in front. The rears show wear but are okay.
The drive train includes a Ford 300 inline 6 with a 240 head, 10:1 compression, with a Ford AOD transmission. MSD ignition with Pertronix igniter. Offenhauser dual plane intake manifold with a Holley 450 carburetor, Headman full length headers, stock looking custom brass radiator built by US Radiator. Full length headers run back to the custom made zoomie side pipes. Sounds great. It's a freeway flyer. Ford 9-inch drum brakes. The rear end has new bearings and seals. The drums are in spec. The front brakes are a disc brake conversion. Dual post master cylinder with all new brake lines. All new electric fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, tank cleaned professionally, all new fuel lines which feed the 450 cfm Holley. The electrical system has stock wiring which is in great shape. The headlights are original Lucas lights, very sought after, not reproductions sold today. Everything electrical works great, including the heater which has a new heater core and blower fan.
The interior is mostly stock. The Ford seats have been recovered once. The dash pad needs some attention. The shag carpet in the front and rear was installed a month ago. The wood paneling on the walls is insulated two times. The roof paneling needs to be finished. The gauge panel was rebuilt and chromed. The speedometer is 10 miles off, fast, but doesn't bounce. It has various chrome elements with a stock steering wheel. The pedals are a Moon gas pedal and big rig brake pedal. There is a Moon Equipped Halon fire extinguisher mounted between the driver and passenger on the dog house. Full surround sound stereo included. Also includes bluetooth for phone and receiving calls. One year old battery, power inverter and good times in the rear. The rear compartment is a bit of a blank slate for you to build your perfect boogie van.
The odometer reads 53,222 but the actual mileage is unknown. Since the rebuild of the whole van it has a solid 35,000 miles on it. It's been across country twice as well as a few trips to Colorado, Utah and Arizona. It's been driven six to eight times a year to Northern California. This van was built to drive and isn't much of a trailer queen. The story of one of the trips is here:http://www.drivingline.com/articles/the-ultimate-road-trip-from-sea-to-shining-sea/
If you need more information (a walk around description) or more specific pictures, you can email me or call me, Mike, at (760) 519-3478. You're also more than welcome to come look at the van.

Unfortunately I read the wrong number on the title and entered it in the VIN section above. The correct VIN number is: E16AH845150 as shown on the original door tag. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you.
