There is so much to appreciate about this Ranchero. I love that it has all of the classic looks at first glance. What I love more is the upgrades that make this classic a everyday modern daily driver. It's new life started in 2003. It's California owner set out to build a hauler for his vintage race cars. He took the body down to bare metal and during that process moved the fuel filler to the inside of the bed. That really preserved the clean lines of this truck and I'm surprised that the Ford engineers didn't do that at the factory. Professionally painted with two stage paint. 14 years later the paint has stood up to the test of time, no orange peel or rust bubbles anywhere. A fuel injected 5.0 engine was dropped in and DISC brakes added. Mated to the new power train is a Ford 5 speed transmission and Ford 9" rear end with 3.55 limited slip brings up the rear. In 2012 this Ranchero made it's way to Idaho where it has received even more love and attention. All new interior was installed featuring a Glide Engineering full leather split bench seat. Check out the thickness of that bad boy, one of the most comfortable seats I have ever been in. Sound deading dyno mat was installed prior to the new carpet going in. Professionally installed modern Blue Tooth sound system with two stage tweeters and a sleek amp behind the seat. Flaming River steering column and wooden wheel installed along with changing up the shift handle and putting the sweet So Cal shift knob on. The final step of getting a full modern feel was to install power assisted rack and pinion power steering. Other tasteful additions include hand painted pin striping, "bronzed" grill with matching color in the tail light surrounds. We have all seen projects where are the parts do not automatically equate to a good car. The time and attention to detail at every step makes this one amazing car. This Ranchero does not disappoint at any level, the small details are done well such as the window felt and the big details are done well which is demonstrated by the safe reliable drive train. Show this Ranchero or daily drive it. Be sure to watch the walk around video and view the photo gallery that is complete with under side photos.
