1959 Ford F-100 pickup Additional Info:
You are bidding on a 1959 F-100 shortbox.
First, the good news:The truck is all original, runs and drives very nicely. Starts right up and shifts smoothly. Was told the milage (under 80,000) is original by previous owner. No way to verify though. However, it does drive like it has low milage for a truck of this age. It also has great natural patina.
It has new brakes all the way around, new break cylinders, new brake lines, new master cylinder, new generator, new gas tank, new air filter, new fuel filter, rebuilt carb, new plugs, tune up and oil change. It also has a new regulator and battery. Frame is in good shape. Lights and all the electric works. I have the truck's original title and owner's manual from 1959.
Now the not so good news:The truck has quite a bit of rust through in all the usual places for this model, including the bed. The floor does have some holes, but not as bad as some I've seen. The tires are usable, but should be replaced. All the glass is there but needs to be weather stripped, and the window cranks need to be looked at so the windows will track up and down smoothly. Cracks only in the vent windows. All other glass is in good shape with no cracks. The seat is in rough shape but a new seat cover still in the box goes with it. All in all, this is a great base for a restoration project, rat out or use as is.
We've used the truck mostly just to haul hay back and forth from one barn to another on the ranch. It's a good solid truck for that kind of work, and it is road worthy. Bill of sale goes with the truck.
This is a three day auction for a quick sale. The truck has a low reserve, much less than what we have in it. Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy or if you don't have the money. We do not take trades and there is no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping, although someone can be available to help with loading. $500 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction closing.
Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Please ask any additional questions before bidding.
