1949 Ford Custom Additional Info:
A really solid old Ford. The old shoebox Ford saved Ford Motor Company from bankruptcy. The new design was far and away from the old pre-war styling and it kept Ford in business with the new exciting slab side design. Customizer's loved the car and so did John Q Public and it's still a winner today.
I've bought and sold and owned dozens of these cars and this one is a solid Nebraska candidate for restoration or customization, your choice. It has a perfect patina for a rat rod or drive her the way it is. They're getting harder and harder to find in any condition but this one is pretty solid. Minor rust in the rockers, bottoms of the fender, quarters, and trunk pan at the rear where it meets the body. The floors are as solid as any I have ever owned and have only a few minor pinholes on the drivers side. I've taken a ton of photos to help you make an informed buying decision but can take more if needed, just ask.
The old 8 BA flattie was removed and a 302 automatic put in it's place. I'm told it came from a former police interceptor from the 80's era but don't know that for a fact. It's sitting in there and isn't finished but is all there. I know nothing about that engine as it was done before I acquired the car. I have an 8 BA flattie available that is stuck and needs rebuilt for an additional $300.00. I've had it soaking for about a month now so it my free up easily. The car is missing the front door panels and the driveshaft and that's it. All other parts not seen on the car are in the trunk. There are extras inside like the fan blade, generator, various brackets, trim, etc. as well.
This is the lowest level Custom with no trim around the windshields or back window and the standard steering wheel and exterior trim. It still has the 16" wheels and tires too. I'd love to do this car but I have too many other irons in the fire and she's gotta go. I have a clear Pennsylvania "Birth Certificate" in my name ready to transfer to the new owner. I prefer cash deals rather than PayPal as they charge a fee. Help loading is no problem and I welcome intelligent questions.
Happy bidding.
