1993 Ford F-250 Additional Info:
I am proud to be offering up this amazing 1993 Ford F-250 XLT 7.3 factory turbo Diesel. This is a one elderly owner, completely original, TRUE 20,600 mile truck. The truck was custom ordered in sebastapol CA by John S. MCcullough. It was destined to be used very lightly on a horse ranch. Sometime around 1996, the owner, then about 64 at the time, had an unfortunate horse riding accident which left him unable to drive a manual transmission any longer. The truck was parked in a barn and seldom driven for the next 20+ years. One look around this magnificent vehicle, confirms the true extremely low mileage authenticity. The factory paint shines like new, with amazing depth and clarity. There are a few small spots of touch up on chips and scratches around the truck, nothing major. No dents on the body, one small ding in rear tailgate trim. The hood has some very strange looking scratches on it where I was told a curious mare strolled up and tried to take a few bites out of what I imagine she must have thought looked like the mother of all red apples. I considered having the hood blended, or repainted all together to make it perfect, but honestly, decided not to mess with the originality of the truck. Ill let the new owner make that call, but it is a pretty interesting and funny conversation piece. Bed is near perfect, has a few light scrapes and scuffs, but no dents or rust of any kind, its beautiful. The undercarriage, though it was a bit dirty from life on the farm, cleaned up to show a very neat and rust free chassis and body. The Interior of this truck is just breathtaking, its like stepping back into 1993, an amazing time capsule. From the steering wheel, to the custom ordered rubber floors, to the heat, A/C and radio controls, everything inside appears to have never been touched by human hands or time. The bench seat looks to never have even been sat on. This is an XLT truck, so it has power windows, door locks, ice cold A/C, cruise, AM/FM cassette, etc... every option works perfect. Mechanically the truck performs as one would expect a brand new 1993 truck to. The big 7.3 IDI turbo fires right to life and runs magnificently, cool and smooth with mountains of power and torque, this engine is literally still breaking in. 5 speed shifts excellent. Aftermarket turbo boost and exhaust temp gauges both function. Truck is equipped with trailer brake and is ready to pull whatever you need. Engine has factory block heater. 4WD works perfect. This truck runs down the road straight and true, no wobbles, shimmies, wandering, nothing. Steering and suspension are tight as it gets, truck rides solid and quiet. Brakes are excellent. Reconditioned ford Alcoa wheels and caps were added to upgrade the appearance. This rig looks absolutely stunning in person, really as new looking as a 24 year old truck gets, its drop dead gorgeous. I would dare to say that this might be the lowest mileage, cleanest and most well preserved example of an F-250 of this configuration in existence, it is truley one in a million. Please feel free to ask me as many questions as you would like, happy to answer them. I can also provide more detailed pictures by request. Bid to own this rare and unique icon of ford history, dont miss this one! Thanks for looking and as always, happy bidding!
