1967 Ford F-100 Additional Info:

Up for bid is my 1967 Ford F100 Custom cab. I've owned this over 2 years now & have enjoyed the many cruise night's out and it's time to sell some of my vehicles & motorcycles. This here is a numbers matching truck with original motor, transmission & the rare factory overdrive. This comes with a Marti Report. It shows 82k miles and I had bought this from the original owner who had It garage kept in a dry Southern western state since it was bought new. He had done a full restore, a 'frame off' one as well as the complete engine on this here back in '03-'04. The engine he stated to me was completely rebuilt in '08. Thankfully, this Southwestern part of Idaho is also a dry, high desert, state, so no rust issues, rock solid frame and body as you can see in the pictures underneath.This has the factory 352 engine with factory Thunderbird heads I am told only came in 2 years. Runs SMOOTH and fires right up, with a one second pull of the choke out & back in unless warmed up within a few hours, then just turn the key to start. Does NOT burn any oil nor smoke OR leak at all! It originally had a 2bbl when new, but previous elderly owner (I'm 55 catching up) put a Carter AFB 4bbl on an Edelbrock manifold and the Engine was rebuilt by him. It has headers going out to the dual exhaust, with chrome pipes that purr ever so good!
Three months ago, I noticed the shifting wasn't engaging correctly, difficulty finding reverse. So the transmission shop owner that specializes in older classics upon examining, decided to give it a fresh rebuild on the factory T89 Transmission along with new heavy duty clutches & pressure plate & resurfaced flywheel. I also had the rebuilding of the rare optional, overdrive which works fluidly by pulling out the factory dash mounted lever for overdrive. Not stopping there because of the shifting engagement, I pulled the steering column out & replaced the shifter tube (as it had a broken Boss preventing it from finding the gear smoothly) & repainted the column the factory color it was originally prior and shifts manually now ever so smoothly. I also replaced the shifter collar with a hard to find OEM one just in case of any hidden previous stress or wear over time. I also put a brand new starter in it last month. Front brakes were just replaced, zero miles, rear shoes better than 3/4 left. I am downsizing the home & garage size in the coming months, I don't want to keep this outside as it has been garaged its whole life.The only other non original piece I can tell is the sliding rear window and the better viewing on-door rear view mirrors. The owner added a Sony AM/FM cassette player & has 4 speakers. Two mounted overhead & 2 on the doors. But the Sony not so great to me, so I have a brand new in the box, JVC KD-R650 w/ CD,Ipod/Iheart/Pandora/12 preset/equalizer/Bluetooth & USB I'll mail to buyer I was considering installing, but will leave that up to the buyer in case he/she, has other plans.The body: Super straight, NOT bondo straight, straight on every single piece of sheetmetal, fenders, doors, bed sides & tailgate, NO dents. The paint overall on the whole front & cab is really nice. There are a couple minor blemishes over time noted in the picture closeups that appear much larger than they really are as I zoomed in for them AND enlarged so you can see, where on the Fleetside bed, the area above the side trim and go above 1 3/8"s to the bed seam, minor bubbling, more than likely, bad prep underneath before the paint back then. I tried to highlight the WORSE looking areas of the surface bubbling and by far, does not represent the whole of either side. Just wanted you to see the WORSE which may be anywhere's from 4"s to 7"s wide in an area or two on each side. Cant really notice unless your told where to look & looking for it at 10'. No big fix at all for the right body guy from past experience. One small chip on lower drivers side front fender highlighted. The bed, nice, no major denting and NO rust at all. The clear coat only across the top sides of the bed and a few spots on the back tailgate could use some touch up attention & reclearing. I'm not a body man so when I do buy classics to enjoy, I search for the straightest, cleanest ones that I can own without having to give much attention to that trade. Heavy duty rear chrome step bumper and towing package. It has a .50 cal ammo can mounted which holds the jack & tire iron but can be used for ammo soon, if your in Milwaukee.Have the original gas cap that goes to it in glove box.
Interior: is literally like brand new, bench seat is flawless. Overall considering most all original except for what was described I'd rate this every bit an 8.5 or better. Windshield clear, no cracks but does have two smaller than a dime, circles of repair. Two cracks on top of dashpad. Horn doesn't work.
I try & be straight up & honest in describing everything as if I was a buyer myself, what I'd want to know. No hidden surprises here. Couple other small replacement/fixes I can't recall at the moment but will revise if come to mind. I will ALSO include the in depth 3 volume 1967 Factory service manuals which are loaded with info for any future repairs I will mail along with the stereo.This is only my 2nd vehicle in 3 years that I am ebaying, I'm not a wheeler dealer and don't sell whole vehicles for a living. You can check my feedback & will see on feedback page 6, a buyer that bought my numbers matching original '69 Firebird 400 needing a complete restoration but was also rust free & super straight on here a couple years ago prior to buying this, bought that one for $12600 & the feedback shows he's more than satisfied. With that, I put up several more k up to buy this one here, unaware of the work I had to do over a year later of driving it, not previous owners fault, was just that time for rebuilding what wasn't before.
