1964 Ford Thunderbird Additional Info:
Found in a garage Estate Sale In Western Washington. Belonged to an eccentric older fellow that made a years long hobby out of finding nicer and nicer parts for this classic. He continuously bought better parts and installed them, and stored the extras...... When I say extras, I mean a pickup truck load of trim, electrics, brackets, chrome, and ON AND ON! I have not inventoried it and do not plan to. I am adding some pics of the tubs full of parts when I take them, but please don't ask if this widget or that whirling dervish is there because I have no idea what a whirling dervish is.To be blunt, and up-front, there are some body repairs we can see that are not very professional. They are properly covered in paint so are not rusting or falling off, and if there is bondo, it sounds as if it is quite thin. The important thing to a restoration expert is that there is huge value in the lack of rust. The only place I found any was surface rust under the trunk lid seal rubber, and a bit under the trunk mat. NO cancer that I could find. I looked because I intended to restore this when I bought it, but I have a new house to build so this has to go to a new owner.
The chrome is all pretty good, no rust, mostly very shiny and mostly very straight. It appears that all parts are present and accounted for. I am not a pro restorer but I did pick this car after an extensive inspection and "crawl-under". Again, it is not a "10, YET, but it could be. Everything is here and no corrosion. Cutting out cancerous metal takes the fun out of a resto, so this one will be fun, or just drive it. You will be shocked at how many people compliment it and it is a major head turner. Again, I think it needs shocks but I am a truck guy and not used to soft rides. This rides like it is on Temperfoam. Please ask your wife BEFORE you bid. Come see the car in Port Angeles, Washington, come DRIVE her! But please, don't cause us both problems by not following through if you hit the "Fun-Button".Paypal a $1000 deposit immediately after winning the auction, pay in full with bank transfer or cash in 4 working days, not 10 or 20. Sale is final. Come see it before you bid if you wish, but the winning bidder OWNS this car. I believe I have described fairly well that some doo-dads don't work, it has an imperfect body, some wear on the upholstery, a stitched up headliner seam, cracked window and other minor items, but is a good running and driving car.The car is listed for sale on C$@!gslist and can be sold at any time so feel free to call 360 457 8030 and CHECK BEFORE you hit buy it now.............NO WARRANTY, NO Kidding.
