1974 Ford F-250 Additional Info:
For sale is a 1974 ford f250 4x4, this is an f26 vin truck so it is not a 2wd conversion that somebody hacked together, everything on the truck is factory original with the exception of the front bumper obviously. This was an original 360/4speed truck that someone put a 460 and c6 combo into, the 460 runs but does not like to idle at low rpm without a little help so could use a carb cleaning, the c6 needs gone thru at the moment it does not move. so runs but does not drive, ill be tryin to get the thing driving again thru out the auction but im not making any promises. The truck is solid with a few rust patches that need patched up in the usual places on these old crew cabs, the bed is all there but as the pics show it backed into something or what have you and had extensive bondo work done so i dont know whats under there or how bad but its starting to come to the surface like all bondo does, it could use a stripping of the paint, someone painted over the factory sprayed weyerhauser mustard yellow with some white paint thats peeling in spots. The floor boards are some of the best ive seen on a 74 with no holes at all on the drivers side and one smsll 1x2 inch hole thru the first layer on the passenger side but doesnt go thru the second, its right by the factory drain hole. both bench seats are in there, the back floors are as solid as can be and the drip rails have no rust either, cab mounts are solid with good bushings still. everything works as it should electrically and it starts right up with a decent battery.I had plans for a cummins conversion on 35's but life happens so here it is for someone else to build an awesome rareity that you dont see a whole lot of anymore. thanks for looking and happy bidding!
