1970 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
This beautifully restored Boss 302 started its life as a drag racer out of California. It was a perfect choice for our resto mod/protouring build.A virtually rust free weekend warrior. Everything that could be removed from this unit body Boss 302 was . From there we decided on the parts that we would need to turn this Boss into a modern day monster in nostalgicsheeps clothes. Onceeverything was remove, we decided to build what looked like the 1970 Bud Moore Trans Am winning car, with a plethora of modern day upgrades. For power a brand new 392 Ford Motorsport Windsor based but stroked aluminum head monster, topped off with a fast programable fuel injection system. It starts every time!! A modern polished serpentine system to run our total control power rack and pinion system, alternator, and yes air conditioner, the engine was mated to a Tremec road race 5 speed transmission with a final .8 fifth gear ratio, connected to the virtually indestructible most revered differential, the 9 inchfordposi rear end sporting super strong 31 splinemosler axles.Brakes are power assisted 14 inch Wildwoods on all 4 corners, wheels are 16X8 Trans Am style with BF Goodrich Z Rated G-Force 225/50 /ZR /16 Tires, Other modern comforts include power windows and a removable Momo steering wheel to enable you to climb over the bolstered leather clad race seats. Thetastefully placed 4point cage secures you via a three point belt, to this road rocket. Gauge pack is electronic, the interioralthough shod in leather and sporting the coveted fold down rear seat is relatively spartan and all business, all sheet metal save for the small pin point minor rust spotting near the drivers side clutch pedal is all original,it took 3 years to restore this Boss,I have owned it for more than ten years. The restoration was completed 4 years ago. There are only two flaws with my Bos, 1) I have not decided whether or not to put a radio in the car that I would probably never use as the engine and exhaust notes are music to my ears and 2) I have yet to calibrate the speedometer which I will do .I just haven't gotten around to it because Icouldn't wait to drive it!!! This car is ready to be driven tracked or shown. Just get in it and drive. It handles like its on rails, does not overheat,is comfortable to drive, accelerates like there is no tomorrow, and is able to decelerate as quickly too.Theundercarriage is as clean as the exterior paint. I have it detailed once a year. I could go on but would write a novel. So ifyou have any questions drop me a line at 905-988-9004 or email. I will be glad to answer your questions.
