Here's an inexpensive way to build a'40 Ford asa lightweighthot rod, drag car,or modified race car.
Up for sale is a full size fiberglass '40 coupebody on a later model frame. It is a racing shell that is flanged to fit the popular General Motors G-Body chassis. Originally set up for asphalt circle track but was barely used. Add the fenders and hood for a totally different style vehicle.
3 pc. fiberglass frontend and grille bolts together to make aone pieceunit (older piecebut very useable). New extra wide rear fenders have light scuffing. As you can see, these pieces have not yet been mounted to the car. Also included is the radiator and fan, seat, driveshaft, and a new set of four 26.5 x 10.00 Goodyear Eagles ( require 10 inch wide wheels).
Chassis includes: G-Body frame,Larger truck spindles and disc brakes,Tubular upper A-Arms, Power steering w/removable steering wheel, Wilwood master cylinder, Afco shocks, 4 corner weight jacks, Chrome 8 inch Bart IMCA wheels (tires are rollers only), Fuel cell.
9 inch Ford rear end includes:Wilwood disc brakes (still up), Drilled 31 spline floating axles, Locker 3rd member w/5.57 Richmond gears.
The chassis is not a pro build but it is not junk. Cageis a pre-weldedpiece, and the tin is solid. The gauges and rear control arms will need to be replaced (see pics).Readyto hot rod withyourengine and transmission .
