1963 Ford Falcon Additional Info:
I have for sale my 1963 1/2 falcon Futura. I have owned this car for 11 years and it was born as a 6 cyl. auto car with manual steering and brakes. The odometer read 39,xxx when I bought it and I believe it to be true. The service stickers on the door were consistent with the milage and all the hoses and wires in the engine compartment were original Ford with the proper clamps. The body was clean with no rot anywhere. There was some surface rust on the body. The Body panels floors and engine compartment metal is all original with the exception of the d/s rear quarter panel. Sometime early in the life of this Falcon it was replaced. The exterior trim and bumpers are in good condition with some slight pitting of the side spears. Still in excellent condition for its age. All stainless trim is near perfect on the body. The car was stripped and repainted original Corinthian white enamel 10 years ago. The car has been garaged since.
The interior is all original with the exception of the carpet which is new. The old one was faded. Everything inside works as it should but the generator, oil light and temp gauge are not connected to the new motor since I have added aftermarket gauges to replace them. the wiring for them is still in the engine compartment under the brake booster. there is a basic stereo in place of the original AM radio which is included.
In the past 2 years I have completely removed the original drive train and suspension with the exception of the steering box. Everything in the suspension and brake system is NEW or Rebuilt. I will only highlight the upgrades rather than list everything.
All new springs, shocks Granada spindle with disc brakes, new Shelby quick steer pitman arm and roller bearing idler. Complete 1965 falcon steering linkage Adco heavy sway bar. power dual circuit master and booster, front and rear 1” lowere, 2005 mustang wheels, new Fuzion 225-55 -16 tires all around.Export brace, belly bar,Shelby drop, 8” maverick rear with 3:55 gears and a new limited slip center section.
The power train is all new, rebuilt from the radiator to the tail pipes.
Summit racing 347 completely machined .30 over roller block
Scat stroker cran, Probe pistons, H beam rods completely balanced w/ new dampener and flywheel.Comp FW 281H-r10 ca, PN 35-440-8, roller rockers new pushrods,Pro Comp 190cc Aluminum heads with new roller rockers, Edlebrock dual plane intake, holley 600 carb, new melling oil pump, timing set bolts, etc. Headman shorty headers, turbo mufflers, complete exhaust system to the rear bumpers. New radiator, fan, fuel pump, motor mounts electronic ignition, wires, on and on .
The car has a recently rebuilt stock C-4 automatic transmission. The transmission is connected to the original column shifter which was updated with a latter detent plate to accommodate the the extra gear. To fit the larger transmission the original floor brace/transmission mount had to be removed. A new cross member from a 1994 mustang was modified to replace the original cross member allowing additional transmission options.
I am sure I have forgotten something but questions are welcomed. In the 11 years I have owned this car it has traveled less than 800 miles, most of that with the original components. Since the completion of the upgrades the car has traveled less than 100 miles. I have just changed the oil since the car has been sitting.
The car is sold with a NY transferable registration in my name with a bill of sale. Vehicles built before 1973 do not have titles in NY. . The transferable registration signed by me to you is the legal document for the car in this state and is what you will need to register or title the car in your state. The registration still shows the car as a 6 cylinder and I would leave it as is unless your DMV requires a physical inspection for title or registration.
Included are some extra parts and a complete pedal assembly to convert the car to standard transmission and over $14,000.00 in receipts showing all the new components and the original E Bay ad showing the car as I bought it 11 years ago.
If you have no E Bay history I will not accept your bid. The starting price is less than what I have invested just in parts. I am selling this car because I am buying something else and don’t have space for both cars. I am confident you will not find a better falcon anywhere for my price.
