I sold this truck a few weeks ago to Jessica Lowe from Sherburne New York. She did not pay. I tried second chance offers but all those people wanted was to ask more questions and get more photos. Please do not bid if you have a history of not paying or need to ask your Mom if she will loan you the money. It costs sellers $120 to sell a car or truck to a dead beet buyer. I have this truck listed locally for $4,500 or best offer. I have a BUY IT NOW price of $4,500 on eBay or best offer. You won't find a nicer truck or a better deal for the money. If you are just looking for a rusty old beater for $2,500 this is not the truck for you. Call me at 217-454-2837 for more information, no texts.
Up for sale today is probably the nicest looking 1993 Ford F 250 Heavy Duty 460 powered 2 wheel drive truck to be listed on eBay in a long time. THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE. It's the nicest 24 year old truck in my hometown period. Don't let the AutoCheck score of 31 scare you. The reason for the low score is because of the 6 owners. That's not too bad considering the truck is 24 years old but I guess whoever sets the scores thinks a new owner every 4 years is excessive. You decide. This truck is about as close to mint as you can find for a 24 year old truck.
This truck was purchased to tow our show car cross-country to national events. As such we have put mostly highway miles on it. We store our truck and car trailer inside our warehouse when not in use to keep them in mint condition. We have another truck for local use and for trips to the lumber yard. We had planned to keep this truck until we retired our show car but we recently purchased a motorhome. We plan to use the motorhome for future events and no longer need this truck.
With the extended cab we had plenty of room in front for luggage etc. on our trips. The truck has a fold down rear seat which we found very handy for luggage. The 460 gas engine has plenty of pulling power. Our previous truck had a 351 engine and needed to kick into a lower gear on steep mountain grades. This truck with the 460 just pulled our trailer up the mountains without a whimper even on cruise control. Because it's a big heavy duty truck I could hardly tell I was pulling a load. I decided when I bought this to buy a 460 gas powered truck rather than a diesel truck for ease of maintenance. Most of the mechanics in our area charge an extra $12 per hour to work on diesel cars and trucks.
We had the rear axle seals replaced and Heavy Duty brakes installed front and rear about 2 years ago. We had the transmission flushed and the front wheel bearings serviced at the same time. The battery is about a year old. The previous owner used Mobil 1 synthetic oil. I continued to use Mobil 1 along with Slick 50. My last truck had the same maintenance and service schedule, using Mobil 1 and Slick 50,and it had over 260,000 miles on it when I bought this truck. It never used a drop of oil and ran like a top, just like this truck.
The previous owner gave me his maintenance records which I will stick in the glove box if I can find them. He had a 5th wheel hitch inside the bed. He also had the bed sprayed with truck bed liner. I had no need for the 5th wheel hitch so he kept it and I added the topper. I have the rear hatch for the topper but one of the hinges broke. I bought new hinges but never got them installed. I will include the rear hatch and the new hinges when I find them in our warehouse.
As I recall the previous owner said he had hit a deer and had the drivers side headlight and fender replaced. He said there was no other damage or any frame damage. I could not tell it had been in an accident when I bought it. The body and paint look perfect.
We were told it was rustproofed and undercoated when new. Our truck was painted in the same restoration shop where our show car was painted. The paint looks great, no chips, scratches, rust, dents, or any other flaws. It needs nothing. The interior is in very good condition. The engine runs great and does not use any oil on our long trips. I can't think of anything wrong with this truck to disclose. It's just that nice. We are non-smokers with no pets or kids and no spills or accidents. This truck looks as nice as the day we bought it.
All in all this has been a very good truck for us. It has never let us down. If it wasn't for the decision to buy our motorhome we would never have decided to sell this truck. We will be taking one last trip in it before we say good-bye to our friend. We hope to find a good home with somebody who will care for our truck as we have.
If you are looking for a nice older heavy duty truck with reasonable miles then look no further. Please do not bid if you have zero feedback unless you contact us first. Please do not bid if you have a history of bidding but not paying. The winning bidder must pay a $900 deposit through PayPal within 24 hours and the balance within 7 days. We prefer a bank transfer for the balance but Postal Money orders are OK. Please do not ask us to sell you this truck and you will send a certified bank check for the truck and the shipping. We will NOT send any money to your shipper. Please do not bid if you are from Nigeria. We know all about those games. If the high bidder does not pay the required deposit within 24 hours I will offer a second chance bid to the second highest bidder.
If you need to have it shipped no problem. We have a large area for your transporter to load. I can meet the driver at the warehouse pretty much 24/7.If you decide to drive here and pick it up that's fine also. I am normally available 7 days a week. I cannot meet you on Sundays until after 2 PM. If you want to pick it up within the 7 day time period and you have paid only the deposit please bring cash for the balance due. No checks or money orders if you pick it up. Thanks for your interest in our truck and good luck bidding.
I will add more photos on Saturday.

This truck has always been well maintained. It has been serviced at the scheduled intervals and whenever anything needed to be repaired we had it taken care of right away. We have had a lot of questions so I am adding some additional information. The headliner is good and has never sagged or been repaired. The dash pad it good and has never cracked. The interior is in very nice condition especially considering it's age. The drivers seat needed a repair to the corner and that has been fixed. This truck has been stored inside our warehouse when not in use and it shows. We have never had a problem with the engine or transmission. We have had the transmission serviced, the brakes replaced, and new rear axle seals. The rear end lube was replaced with synthetic rear end lube. We use Mobile 1 synthetic oil and K&N filters which we change when due. All in all this is a very nice truck for it's age. It might have more miles than some of the low mile trucks I see on eBay but our trucks miles are mostly highway miles. The low mile trucks on eBay are about as nice as our truck but the prices I see them selling for are about double what we expect to receive for our truck. If you have any questions please call 217-454-2837. We will be away for a few days and might not be able to get back online until the auction is over. Please call (no texts) with any last minute questions. Thanks for your bids and for your interest in our truck.
