Unlike many project vehicles, thisone can be driven and enjoyed while working on it! This vehicle is in good shape for its age. She runs well and has a sweet sound when you start her up.
The engine is an 8 cylinder....390 Police Interceptor. It has dual exhausts and overall exhaust system is in very good condition.
There is rust on the interior chrome around the headliner and rust on the bumpers. I am told that for the most part, steel wool and a good cleaning will remove most of that rust. The frontseats are in good/fair condition. The rear seats are very clean. There is a separationon the top of one front seat, but that can easily besewn. The driver's panel would need to be replaced since the original owner was probably a smoker and burned it.It's functional, but looks bad.The passenger side is fair.I had planned to change both interior side panels and work on the rust. The front passenger window is cracked. The driver's seat is a power seat, but supposedly needs a switch.
This vehicle was originally red and the previous owner changed it to white. Paintjob could have been better, butthat I have had different opinions on it. It really depends on how picky someone might be.This vehicle would look sharp if someone has the time to work on it.
It was winterized with all fluids changed, checked, andit passed inspectionIt wasstored indoors for the winter.
To the best of my knowledge, I provided you with all of theinformation necessary to help you make a decision. However, feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. I am not a dealer.....just someone who loves old Thunderbirds. Family health issues changed the original plans to semi-restore this vehicle so I am selling it.
