After cleaning, the frame and undercarriage were powder coated. Preparation and black lacquer paint was applied to the well preserved body by Foreign Motors Body Shop in Temple City. Suspension rebuild, hydraulic drum brake system and Kelsey wire wheels and Firestone Tires (6.00 x 16, 7.00 x 16) were provided by The Early V8 Garage in West Covina. Costa Mesa Auto Upholstery fabricated the red leather interior. Rebuild of the Ford Flathead V8 59AB engine by Bob McKray Performance (3.312 X 4.00) in Mission Viejo included a 4.00 SCAT crank, Ross forged pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, an ISKY camshaft, a MSD ignition system, a mellings oil pump, Edlebrock 9.0-1 heads and Redd headers for the dual exhaust system. An electric fuel pump feeds the dual Stromberg 97 carbs. An alternator supports the 12-volt electrical system.
