1966 Ford E-Series Van Additional Info:
Here is a 1966 Ford Econoline Super Van. With too many vehicles, projects and the changing of personal circumstances unfortunately I need to sell the Super Van. This van is SOLID! Overall this van is probably one of the most solid and straight you'll find. There is no rot in the corners or floor which is common on most vintage vans, especially in the northeast. At some point there seems to have been a small repair to the passenger side floor. The van was re-paint at some point prior to me purchasing it. It is not the best paint job and is flaking in a few spots but it is respectable. There is very slight over spray from the shop on the van. The drivers side paint is slightly more "glossy" than the passenger side. I believe this is due to the budget paint job and the previous owner parking it with the passenger side baking in the hot afternoon sun.. Just my guess! Its not overly noticeable, but now that I mentioned it you will probably notice in the photos. There is also slight rust bubbling in a few spots of the lower body however it is hardly noticeable as you can see for yourself in the photos. There is slight damage to the drivers side rear drip rail but is also not easily noticed unless you are looking for it. The interior at some point, again prior to me purchasing it was paint with a brush. There is still some evidence of a few paint drips but the entire interior was recently resprayed white. Again, its not a show quality paint job BUT it looks clean as you will see in the photos. The ENTIRE floor from the nose to the rear doors has been bed lined for increased durability. The bed liner extends about 1ft up the sides for anything you may have rolling around in the rear of the van. A set of factory, drip rail mount roof bars are included in the sale. They are solid and resprayed black, however could probably use some attention and new hardware. The van has been sitting in my garage for a few months and there are a few things I noticed it may need. It will need a brake job as the pedal goes to the floor, new door and vent window seals, front seats re-upholstered and possibly hoses. Original seats, brackets and rails are included however not pictured in the listing as I removed them in order to get photos of the entire floor area. Seats are in rough condition but are all there and ready for re-upholstery. You can also probably throw a towel over them as I did and drive as is. The van runs, however some tinkering with the carburetor may be required to be running optimally. Choke works as it should. Even after sitting for a few months the van started on the first try. New battery terminals, windshield gasket and rear window gaskets were installed this past week. Original battery box under drivers seat is complete and in great condition. This is a hard to find piece complete or in decent condition. The odometer reads 19,209 miles which for a 50yr old van seems low, but based on the solid condition it may be correct. More than likely it rolled but its hard to be certain. The van would be great as a rolling billboard as it only has windows in the rear two doors.I promise you will get looks, waves, thumbs up and folks who will talk your ear off about this van! This van is probably one of the most solid out there for sale! If you want to save thousands in body work alone here is your chance! The van will require some light mechanical work to be running and driving optimally, but not much. A complete set of 1966 Ford Econoline wiring diagrams is also included with the sale.
I am not a mechanic however have described the van to the best of my abilities. If you have any specific questions or need additional photos please don't hesitate to ask! I would encourage anyone within driving distance to stop by to check out the van. If you have been looking for a vintage Econoline for a while I can assure you won't be disappointed with this one. Unfortunately most out there for sale are complete rot boxes requiring thousands in body work alone! This van is as straight and solid as you will find.
The van is located in Emmaus, PA 18049. Emmaus is about an hour north of Philadelphia and an hour south of New York City. It is minutes from the New Jersey state line as well as I-78, Route 22 & 309. If shipping the van, pickup would be convenient for the carrier. We have a very reliable and reasonably priced carrier who hauls for us regularly. I would also recommend checking UShip.com to obtain quotes. If you need assistance making arrangements let us know and we will assist in any way possible. Title transfer paperwork through PennDot here in Pennsylvania will take 7-10 business days. At the shop we ran a shop plate on it and used it locally so we had no reason to do the title work until now. Along with the clean PA title a bill of sale will also be provided if one is required. Please check with your state on title and registration requirements. Some states may require both title and bill of sale in order to complete the title transfer.
I will be out of town over the July 4th holiday so the van may be picked up by buyer on or after July 6th if the auction runs the full 7 days.
*** The van is being sold as-is with no warranty or guarantees. Buyer must pay by cash or certified funds in full within 7 days of auction end. NO PayPal, personal checks etc! ***
