1966 Ford Galaxie Country Squire Additional Info:

Take a look at my 1966 Ford Country Squire Wagon. It is the 9 passenger style with the center facing seats in the rear. It also features Ford's "magic" gate which opens like a door as well as a tailgate. This wagon is equipped with the "Z" code 390 4V engine, green dot cruise-o-matic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and factory air conditioning. This car has never been hit and has it's original paint on every square inch. Someone has brush painted the mouldings, go figure. I was told that the engine was stolen from this car in the late '70's and it st sat outside for the next 30 years. It was purchased by a man who had a rebuilt "Z" code Galaxie engine and installed. The engine was never completely wired and plumbed, that how I got the car. That was the explanation for the low mileage on the odometer, and the weathered condition of the body. I was skeptical, however, after inspecting the original suspension components and driving the car after completion, I think the story is true and the miles are very low. The car drives excellent with no squeaks, rattles, shimmies, or odd vibrations. The rust is limited to what you see in the photos. The floors, tailgate, and frame are all solid. I installed completely new brake system, including booster, all new single exhaust, as it came with, new tires, new battery, new alternator, new carpet, and new headliner. The 7 Litre hubcaps are the originals. You have to drive this car to believe the story, but I would trust it to go anywhere. I get a lot of positive attention in this car and it is a very easy cosmetic restoration at this point. All the seats and door panels are original. I am selling this car as is. It is the responsibility of the buyer to transport it to it's new home. I do have photos of the bottom of the car, but I do ask that you be seriously considering buying the car before you request them. The radio is not currently working. I also installed new halogen headlights. Thanks for looking and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
