1967 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
1967 S code coupe, 390, 4 speed, posi, A/, Disc brakes, Tachometer. This is a running, driving example of the big block mustang coupe. This would be a great candidate for restoration since it retains most of its original parts as shown in the pictures. The original color was Burnt Amber with black interior which would be a great looking combination for this coupe body style. The engine runs good and the tranny shifts up and down normally with no adverse noises, the rear diff is quiet as well but the exhaust has rot holes in it and is annoying. The body has had lower rear quarter patch panels and drop offs, the paint is in poor condition and many seams and other areas are checking and splitting. Engine dates look correct and it may have had a rebuild in recent times as there was an old set of pistons in the trunk. The original carburetor is missing, it has a edelbrock carb on it now and air cleaner, we do have the original air cleaner in the trunk. The original 4 speed radiator is still in place and working good, appears to have the original fan and clutch too, the speedometer and tach are working at this time as well, we have not tried the air conditioner but it appears to be all there, I would count on needing to restore that system. The exhaust manifolds, bell housing and intake manifold look to be correct. There are some rust holes in one front frame rail but the rear rails seem pretty good as do the rear tourqe boxes. It appears to have the original floor pans intact and in decent shape, there is undercoating all over the bottom and in the engine compartment as well, looks like the rockers were accessed and coated as well. The undercoating is peeling in many places and is rather un-sightly. The tops of the aprons have been repaired as you would expect, this is a common area for that. I am listing this for a friend but I own a restoration shop and will answer questions you may have, I also have many other pictures of the car if you need to see a particular area. I have personally looked at and driven this car to varify its condition. This is a very restorable mustang and should be considered as such, it is not ready for daily use at this time.
