1969 Ford Mustang Additional Info:

Real 1969 Shelby GT500. Lots of work recently, engine, transmission and rear end rebuilt, new factory wiring. Not numbers matching, but the heads are correct cobra jet. I was told there is no stamping on the engine block so maybe this was a factory warranty engine block exchange, but I can't verify this. This is a great running car and quite rare, listed in the Shelby Registry which is included with the car.

Also new radiator, tires, power brake booster and front rotors(and probably more stuff I can't remember). I've had the car almost 3 years. I have a Marti Report.I've added some pictures to address questions about the paint and body. The paint and body is very good but it is not perfect. I've added pictures of the biggest flaws which are faint bubbles on the left panel below the roof line next to the Cobra Jet emblem, they don't really show up in the pictures, a scratch on the drivers door(I need to be more careful putting the dash back on) and small cracks around one of the black stripes on the hood. I know 69's shouldn't have a black stripe only 70 shelby's did. The underside is done in red oxide.
The interior is excellent.
Stuff that still needs to be addressed oil pressure gauge, voltmeter and radio don't work. I think it needs a new turn signal as the left brake lights don't always come on, but will come on when you jiggle the turn signal. The sequential turn signals work correctly. I have a new battery but it won't always turn the engine when its hot, (turns over real fast when its cold). I might try a new heavier duty ground wire for the battery or my mechanic said we cold retard the timing a little but would loose a little power. Any ideas out there? Help is appreciated!
