1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL Fastback

Original 1963-1/2 Ford Galaxie 500XL 2dr fastback, 427 8V R-code, original Rangoon Red on Red. Selling on behalf of longtime owner (1992 to present) who has absolutely treasured it but is unfortunately no longer able to drive it. Very nice older repaint on what appears to be a straight and clean body. Excellent chrome on bumpers with original grille and headlight surrounds also chrome plated to match. Side trim very nice overall. Engine is a 1963 cross bolted top oiler block with C4AE-H 427 low riser heads. Correct C3AE 2x4bbl intake and full length C2/C3 long branch cast iron exhaust headers. Later Holley dual fours and aftermarket distributor. Borg Warner T-10 4 speed transmission. It is running a set of Edelbrock 5 spoke 15x7” mags, but comes with a set of 15” steel rims and an excellent set of standard ‘63 Ford dog dish caps. These wheels are very similar in appearance to original Kelsey Hayes hipo rims, but are later application with DOT stamps. Really attractive example of a real R-code that can be driven and enjoyed by the next owner. Starts, runs strong,drives and stops with no drivability issues noted. This Galaxie is located about 90 minutes east of Seattle metro area.
