1946 Ford COE Cab Over – Clean Title – Original Flathead V8 – Rare Post-War Project

Up for sale is a 1946 Ford Cab Over Engine (COE) project truck with a clean title. These early post-war Ford COEs are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially complete, unmodified trucks like this. Whether you're looking for a restoration project, a patina shop truck, or a donor for another COE, this is a great opportunity to own a very desirable piece of Ford truck history.

Highlights
  • 1946 Ford COE (Cab Over Engine)

  • Clean Title

  • Original Ford Flathead V8 engine

  • Original cab

  • Original chassis

  • Original Ford grille

  • Original dashboard and steering wheel

  • Excellent candidate for restoration, custom build, or donor truck

Condition

This is an honest, untouched project truck that has been sitting for many years.

The truck retains its original Ford Flathead V8, which is still in place. The engine has not been tested and is being sold as a restoration project.

One of the biggest selling points of this truck is its completeness. Many COEs have been picked apart over the years, but this one still retains many of the hard-to-find original components, including:

  • Original Ford grille

  • Original Flathead V8

  • Original dashboard

  • Original steering wheel

  • Original gauges and controls

  • Seat spring assembly

  • Headlights

  • Original cab and sheet metal

The original Ford COE grille alone is an extremely valuable and difficult-to-find piece, making this truck an excellent candidate for restoration or an outstanding donor for another COE project.

The cab has the expected dents, surface rust, and age-related wear from nearly 80 years of use.

PLEASE READ: The frame has significant rust and will require major repair or replacement. We have included detailed photographs of the frame rails so buyers can accurately judge the condition. Please review all photos carefully. If you're planning a restoration, you should expect to repair or replace the frame.

Even with the frame condition, this truck offers tremendous value because of how complete it is. Finding an original 1946 Ford COE with its original drivetrain, grille, cab, and clean title has become increasingly difficult.

Don't Miss This Opportunity

1946 Ford COEs are becoming harder and harder to find, especially complete examples with clean titles. Opportunities to purchase an original post-war Ford COE like this are becoming few and far between.
