1967 Mercury Cougar -65k original miles for sale Runs and drives great. It’s the proverbial bought by a lady new and driven to church and the grocery store story. She stopped driving when she got too old which was about 2005ish. That’s what was told by the guy that bought it off her. That owner had the two front floor panes patched. But it still has small spots in under seat riser. Car is all original paint except the drivers quarter. Patina is about perfect on it. It’s a two tone paint car meaning it never had a vinyl top just a faux painted black one. Car has some rust in battery box and trunk floor. All parts are available just like the Mustangs. We picked it up and have driven it a little over 1k miles. We’ve added new headlight bulbs; headlight switch; dimmer switch; alternator; voltage regulator; battery and 4 new tires. These were installed just over 200 miles ago. It has power steering manual brakes & 289/C4The Bad…Typical of non restored Cougars Sequential tail lights do not work (needs sequencer rebuilt or replaced) The headlight doors are not closing ( needs vacuum leak found/fixed or replaced with newer electric type) AC is present but not charged... The good…Drive it anywhere Either while restoring it or leaving it as the survivor it is.
