Here we have a 19641/2 FORD mustang "D" code convertible selling as a project vehicle for rebuilding. Purchased by us in the early 90's from an estate sale and stored until recently. The original engine was rebuilt by the previous owner who passed away leaving the engine not installed. The engine turns freely, and although shows surface rust, has obviously been rebuilt. We pulled valve covers to take a look at the state of internal rust, for you to see here. This is a 289 4V, top loader 4 speed vehicle. Vehicle was stored inside closed storage, not exposed to the weather, for the last 30 plus years. Vehicle is about 95% complete, including power train, radiator, misc. engine parts including original 4V carb, generator and starter ect. as shown. Although the outer sheet metal is quite solid, the floors, inner rockers and rails are showing rust problems as shown. Most all the unique parts associated to a true 641/2 Mustang are intact and included as shown. The engine assembly was set back in the vehicle for transport. Vehicle rolls and steers easily and can be professionally loaded at our location. This vehicle comes with a clear Colorado title from our licensed dealership.
