1963 Ford Falcon Additional Info:

I have up for sale my 1963 Ford Falcon Sedan. This is an original 6 cyl car that has now been converted to a Coyote 5.0 from a 2012 Mustang.
The motor is from a 2012 Mustang that originally had 52,000 miles. The motor has Comp Stage 2 cams, a ported Boss 302 intake, billet oil pump drive, Ford control pack, and custom tuning by Rob Shoemaker Performance. The motor is estimated to put out about 500HP.
The transmission is a built G-Force T-5 5 speed that runs power through a blowproof bell housing and a Centerforce dual friction clutch to a 4” aluminum driveshaft that runs back to a Ford 9” rear with 4:30 gears and traction lock. The 9” has an aluminum housing and Daytona support with Pro Gear 35 spline axles.
Some of the other modifications included with the Coyote swap are Doug’s full length headers, mandrel bent X pipe that runs back to mandrel bent exhaust pipes out through the rear. It also has a custom ignition system with push button start, Aeromotive 340lbph in tank fuel pump with 8AN fittings.
In order to fit the Coyote motor into the Falcon engine bay the engine front suspension was changed. The car now has custom shock towers, AJE tubular K member with rack and pinion steering, Foxbody Strange 10 way struts with coil overs and adjustable Racecraft tubular lower control arms. It also has Foxbody caster/camber plates and a custom shock tower brace.
All this runs through welded in tubular subframe connectors that hook to Calvert leaf springs with Calvert traction bars and adjustable rear shocks. In order to stop all this power, the car has Aerospace 4 wheel disc brakes with drilled rotors. The car is the ultimate sleeper!
The paint and body are an older restoration. The body is pretty straight and solid. There are some very minor bubbles at the bottom of the passenger door but they don’t need to be addressed any time soon. The paint shines nicely and most of the trim is original from 1963 so while not in terrible shape, it’s definitely older. There are a few minor scratches and a rock chip here and there but again nothing that needs to be addressed. The floors and frame rails are super solid.
The interior is a work in progress. The front and rear seats have been redone. The headliner needs to be installed ( I have a brand new one in the box) and the carpet is older but still serviceable. The front seats appear to be out of an early Mustang but they’re in good shape. The car has a custom steering column with tilt wheel.
The car does need some finishing and I want to give full disclosure as to what’s needed: the car needs tires. It has an old set of drag radials on the rear and skinnies on the front. I would definitely go with a set of street radials before doing any longer drives in the car. The lights need to be wired in. The Coyote swap wiring is all done and works fine. But the headlights, brake lights, and turn signals all need to be wired in. Rather than try to adapt the 60 year old wire harness to the new Mustang wiring, I picked up a separate aftermarket wire harness to run lights completely separate. It just has to be wired in. Other than that, a few minor emblems are missing and the car needs a good cleaning.
I picked this car up with the idea of finishing it my way, but with my work schedule I am finding that I just don’t have the time or motivation to finish the car so I’m passing it along to someone who is more motivated and better with wiring than I am.
Overall this is a really cool little car that simply needs a few weekends of work to be back on the road. It’s been off the road for about 2 years with the complete Coyote swap being done. There is a LOT of money invested in this car and once on the road it will be a LOT of fun! The curb weight on a 63 Falcon is 2600 lbs. and with the Coyote 5.0 and a 5 speed it’s a wild ride! Honestly, it’s a little more car than I expected it to be.
I know that this car needs some finishing and that it’s an older restoration so I’m not asking an insane price for the car. I have additional pics and a few other videos for any interested parties. The car can be picked up at my home in Doylestown Pa 18901 and I will do my best to be available meet with a shipping company.
Neither the car or the title will be released until it is paid for in full.
