I’m just busy enough with my life that I really don’t have time or patience to message back-and-forth and back-and-forth. It also tells me how serious you are about buying the truck… If you’re not serious enough to talk on the phone, then you are probably not serious enough to buy the truck right now.
I bought this truck a couple of months ago for my dad. He wanted a red four-wheel-drive vehicle of some sort. I liked that this has very low miles, odometer shows just about 98,000 miles and I was told it is original. The interior looks amazing, almost like a brand new truck. The seat cover is on the bench only to prevent the seat from getting worn. I decided to leave it in place just so I don’t accidentally spill anything or tear the seat... but it is perfect underneath the cover.
Original radio works well. As you can see, original paint has failed and it looks shabby / 'Patina-Fabulous'! Tires are brand new with very few miles on them .
5.0L V8 engine always starts easily, and runs/drives/ stops as it should. In addition to the aluminum rims shown in the photos, the original steel wheels are in the back of the truck with their hubcaps/ other set of tires. Clutch feels good, shifts well. Engine starts easily .
IF there is any mechanical problem with the truck, it is that occasionally, there is a 'ticking'. that I think is a lifter. We had the oil analyzed for metal particles (rod knock?) and it came back clean in that department. The truck did sit for a long time at one point, so maybe that contributed to sticky lifter. Noise comes and goes, and currently isgone.
Like I said I bought this for my dad, but he feels it gets too poor of mileag, so I am going to sell it and find something else for him.
Truck was from the coast, and there is a lot of surface rust on the frame / underneath/ et, but nothing rusted through, or 'scary' in my opinion. Come and take a look ! Electric windows work well, and interior is AWESOME. Dash is perfect. This has a CB, sort of a prehistoric internet.... an, in the 36 years since this truck was new, it has become a cool vintage collectible, I am told... Let me know what else I can tell you ?
