Relisting due to non-responsive bidder.
1969 Mach 1, engine is a 351 with Holley carburetor, automatic trans, manual brakes, recently replaced: exhaust, radiator, alternator, PS pump. There are 123,XXX miles on the odometer. The engine runs cool. Starts on the first try, and quickly smooths to a quiet, low idle.
Trunk is solid. Under the hood, there is some rust along the top of the fender aprons (typical mustang rust), and the battery tray was replaced with a non-original unit.
There is some body filler, but the cr looks pretty good. Paint is of decent quality. Some blemishes, but very presentable driver quality. There was a coat of the red sprayed over the Mach 1 decals- I would plan on laying a new set right over the top if I were the new owner.
There is evidence on the left front fender apron of previous accident repair. The taillight panel is not perfectly straight- it appears to have been dented at some point. The right front floor pan was patched with a flat panel, and I amincluding a proper replacement panel with the sale.
Bumper chrome is pretty good, rear bumper was kissed in the middle and will need to be straightened. The rear window molding is poorly fit.
Interior will need attention to the seats, carpet, and there are two tears in the headliner.
The car runs, drives, and stops. I would consider this a great candidate for a rolling renovation that can be enjoyed and driven while it is being restored. It has been off the road for several years, so I would go through the car before putting it into service- check brakes, flush fuel system, change fluids, etc. There is an old battery in it that barely holds a charge, but it does, and it is enough to get it going.
