This go-kart was built to resemble a 1929-1934 Ford roadster hot rod and is believed to have been built in 1973. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in a black teal flake over a tubular steel chassis, and power comes from a Launtop LT160 5.5 HP ( which is believed to be a honda byproduct) air-cooled single paired with a centrifugal clutch. Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, a two sided disc brake. This ’34 Ford-style go-kart was purchased by the seller late last year and is now offered in Fort Myers Fla. on a bill of sale. The kart measures approximately 75″ long, 28″ wide at the rear, and ″ tall.
The aluminum wheels are mounted in a big and little setup, and they wear 18×8.50 -8 grass hoper tires out back, while the front has 13×6.5-6 Duro tires. Stopping power is via a dual sided disc brake mounted at the rear. The cockpit features a “The 500” three-spoke steering wheel and a single seat trimmed in blue vinyl. Additional features include an aluminum floor pan, cross-drilled foot pedals, and an engine start and cut-off switch positioned on the right side.
Car retains its original Gel coat and the name Pixie Dust, which is shown on the front hood sides. Kart was a barn find and only some things were changed to make it running and usable.ie: all acceleration and brake cables are new, motor was gone thru by a dependable air cooled single mechanic, bpoly busing in the front end .
