Up for auction is my 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe "Fordoor" Sedan restomod. Low reserve because I need to get it moved out as I have another project coming in I need to make space for in my garage. When I originally purchased this car it had a worn out Mercury 255 flathead v8 with a 3 speed manual transmission and the original 6 volt wiring. I ended up swapping in a small block Ford 289 with a C4 automatic transmission. I completely went through the 289 and C4 prior to installing into the car. The car absolutely rips and would be a great cruiser or daily driver. Being a true four door car, it is somewhat rare as they only made roughly half as many four door cars as they did coupes. Here are the upgrades completed:Complete 12v Rebel Wire harness installed replacing all original wiringEdelbrock 4 barrel intake manifoldSummit 500 CFM 4 barrel carburetor with electric chokeCustom 3" driveshaft with modern universal jointsRear pinion seal Rear axel tube seals with complete clean/refill of the rear differentialFlowcooler high performance aluminum water pumpFrostbite radiator with all new coolant hoses and built in transmission fluid coolerShoebox Central 3" drop coils and new shocksShoebox Central camber correction kitPeriod correct Cal Custom finned valve covers with new Fel-Pro gasketsElectric fuel pumpDurlalast AGM battery with insulation blanketHEI distributor0 gauge positive and negative wiring to grounds/battery/starter/alternatorStainless steel high flow headers to 3" collector2.5" stainless true dual exhaust with 14" high flow mufflers with dumps before rear axle (it is loud at high RPM but just a slight rumble at idle, classic hot rod style)Custom made seat covers (left seats underneath original as the front seat has a couple rips but the back seat is in great shape)Classic Instruments complete new gauge cluster with all correct sending units installedClassic Instruments clockRetro Sound OEM style replacement radio with bluetooth/AUXRetro Sound 6" x 9" dash speaker with wiring12 volt ignition switch12v headlight/running light switchModified original foot dimmer switch for high beamsSpeedway throttle pedalLED headlightsLED taillightsLED turn signalesFloor panels patch weldedComplete POR-15 coating on floorsDynamat on floors, trunk and inside door panelsNew black carpetNew stained wood door panelsNew deck lidNew gas tank1951 Ford steering wheelB&M floor shifter mounted to custom transmission tunnelCooper Cobra tiresChevrolet single wire alternator with custom mounting bracketSerpentine beltK&N style washable air filterPlug wires with high temperature boot coversSpark plugsFel-Pro timing cover, water pum, valve cove, fuel pump block off, etc. gaskets193 degree thermostat289 HiPo radiator fan (motor stays nice and cool in all temperatures and diving conditions)Coolant overflow bottleVacuum lines and PCV valveStainless transmission fluid linesBrake fluid replace and brakes servicedOriginal headlinerFunctional hood pinsSun visors replacedIncluded in the auction is also a bunch of extra gaskets, small parts, and extras from the buildLots of other small things as well to make this a real fun car and head turner. Clean PA title in hand and ready to go, as well as a period correct license plate that will go with the car if registered in PA. Less than 500 miles since rebuild. This is a summer car and I do not have the heater core hooked up, nor do the windshield wipers work. The paint definitely has it's flaws but looks good from a distance. My best guess is it was repainted the original black in the 80s or 90s. The headliner is a little torn up by the rearview mirror. The car is 74 years old so it is bound to have it's imperfections. There is your typical surface rust on the underside of the car. The window glass has some typical fogging/slight delamination typical to a car of this age. This is not a show car by any means, but a driver meant to be enjoyed. A car you can take out without constantly being worried about wiping down or washing up.If you have any questions, or need more pictures just ask. Please be sure to ask any questions you may have before bidding. PLEASE NOTE this car is also for sale locally and auction my end early if sold.
