Vehicle Details
1990 Mustang GT, I purchased the car from a friends uncle a few months ago, it sat in a garage for about 8 years, he had health issues and couldn't drive anymore, he recently ended up in a nursing home, so his family sold me the car. It is about as untouched and factory as can be, factory radio, shifter, air box, air silencer, etc..was obviously never modified or beat on. The cats were clogged, so I had a full exhaust done, and removed the smog pump, EGR, etc.. Tires were flat and dry rotted, so I bought a really nice set of ponies with excellent tires. I do still have the original turbines. The car was originally medium Cabernet, but was painted blue about 25 years ago. This car is SOLID, door jams, doors, frame rails, floor, there isn't even any rust on the hatch. I didn't even try to start it when I bought it before I replaced the fuel tank, pump, sender, filter, regulator, bbk pressure gauge, cleaned the fuel lines, had the injectors rebuilt, had the ECU rebuilt by ECU exchange. Also changed the battery cables, spark plugs, distributor, cap, rotor, coil, TFI module, plug wires, TPS sensor, IAC valve, MAF meter, BAP sensor, belt tensioner, serpentine belt, air intake temperature sensor, both coolant temperature sensors, new heater hoses, 180 thermostat, flushed the coolant system, new fan and clutch, replaced the intake gaskets, mobil1 oil and filter, changed all the vacuum lines, new pcv valve, new headlights and fog lights, new battery. I tried using Ford and Motorcraft parts whenever possible. The car starts, runs, stops pretty good, I've been driving it every few days to work, and locally. It has good oil pressure, volts, coolant temp, speedo works, fuel level works, tach works. It does need paint for sure, it's dull and chipping all over the place, there aren't any major dings or scratches anywhere, there is a small crack on the bottom of the back bumper, the A/C is all there, but it blows warm, I believe it's still R12. The interior is pretty nice, it's original, and all there. The drivers seat has that gangster lean, remember It's a 34 year old Foxbody, so it's going to have its typical issues, power locks don't work, passenger side window only rolls down with the passenger side switch. All the gauges work, all of the lights work, horn works, radio works, etc.. outside passenger door handle feels like youre going to rip it off, but the door opens fine, just feels weird. It's a pretty nice, running, driving, unmolested Foxbody project car. It really doesn't need much at all, it depends on what you want to do with it. I think it's too nice and original to cut up into a racecar. Car is sold where is, as is, with no warranty, I cannot guarantee anything.
