1968 Ford F-100 Ranger, 2WD, C6 Automatic. I am the second owner of this vehicle as this was my grandfathers truck that he bought new in 68. He drove it to work everyday and everyday it was parked in his garage. I inherited the truck when he passed away in 2000 but I was too young to do anything with it. Fast forward to 2022 and I finally had a chance to get it out the the garage and get it in shape. The engine was originally a 360 but during the process of the rebuild I decided to put a 390 crank and rods in it from an old 390 my father still had, so it's now a 390. The engine was bored .030 over with new pistons, the 390 rods and the crank. All of the cam bearings and crank bearings have been replaced. The heads are stock with machined hardened seats. I chose to put in a COMP cams HE262-H cam for great throttle response and fantastic idle. There are also Comp springs on the new valves to accommodate the camshaft lift and duration. Push rods are new as well. The truck has an "S" code Ford iron 4BBL intake on it with a new Holley 600CFM Street Warrior carburetor. The distributor is original with the points removed in favor of a Pertronix high energy ignition system. The engine has new gaskets all the way around. Oil pump is new as well as the alternator, battery, and fuel pump. The truck runs fantastic with the only persuasion needed is the choke when its cold. No pumping of the carb needed at all. The paint on the truck is all original and the tires are new, I have included some photos of the spots were there is very minor rust and scratches. Overall for original paint on a truck that has been driven its very good. Please reach out to me with questions and thank you for looking!
