1976 Ford Bronco For consignment, a generation 1 version right out of 1976 with a recent restoration from the fall of 2022, ( documented w photos). This vehicle lives up to its name as it is unbroken on the acceleration front, and a full press of the accelerator and it is off like its namesake, we give you the 1976 Bucking Bronco. All looking snazzy in its beach combing ready Bali Blue and Wimbledon White hues, nifty wheels, lift kit, side chromed step bars, and overall excellent condition. Giddyup! Exterior Bali Ha'i... on the exterior paint, which is a beautiful light blue, this island hopping ancient temple visiting dweller is looking just fab with well minded gaps throughout. In nice contrast the Wimbledon White painted grille with its simple round now LED headlights on either side, a central F O R D badge, and a thin but effective shiny chrome bumper below. All panels are straight with well minded gaps including the hood, side panels and rear gate. There are some small cracks in the paint, light rust in some of the seams and rockers and invasive rust bubbling down the top off the gate, and it's been sprayed over. Our example comes complete with a white rooftop and a back upper liftgate. This roof can be removed but it will take some wrenching. Our consignor states a soft top and Bimini top come with the truck. With a windscreen that can tilt forward for unlimited views and a roll bar just in case a steep dune puts you on your lid, you will be protected. Clear glass all around and a tailgate that has a small storage area upon opening it along with dual rear seating. Another nicely trimmed thin bumper below and dual exhaust pipes which are peeking out the bottom at an angle it's ready for the race. 15-inch American Racing Baja wheels wrapped in knobby 33x10.5x15LT BFG All terrain TA rubber on all 4 corners. Interior Keep it simple would sum it up for this wild ride as we saddle up and climb aboard. My climb is was aided by a chrome bar step and I landed upon new black vinyl buckets with 3 point belts. I passed black door panel inserts with Bali Blue steel framing on my way inside. Up front is a full metal jacket dash in Bali Blue, and peppered with a shiny round cluster speedo and surrounding rectangular edge gauges. I saw a chromed tilt steering column with a rally wheel. Under the shade of a near perfect black padded vinyl topper is a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo and a few pulls. Your 4-wheel shifter is on the center of the floor hump and the transmission shifter is on the column. Near perfect black tough rubber flooring floods the floors in the front and dual bench seats reside under the roll cage and these sit upon is sprayed with textured black/gray trunk paint. Drivetrain They say never look a gift horse in the mouth, however we here at Classic Auto Mall with our inquiring minds pay no attention to this theory so we pop the hood and are met with pure bling and horsepower! 302 cubes all bathed in Ford blue rests in the well restored bay. Chromed finish valve covers offset all the blue and a chromed open air cleaner assembly hides the Quickfuel 4-barrel carburetor below. This very clean mill is aligned with a C4- 3 speed automatic transmission that sends power to a 9" Ford rear axle and if you happen to get mired down in the surf a Dana 44 axle is on the front to get you back on your way. 238.1 horses are here as proven by the dyno sheet via Blueprint Racing Engines. Undercarriage Up on our lift we can inspect the belly of this beast and we note solid full frame construction, slight surface rust and a small area of invasive rust on the very back inner panel. Radius arms and coil springs for the front suspension, and leaf springs for the rear combined with a suspension lift kit for that extra bit of clearance. Wild horse shocks are installed. Power disc brakes upfront and power drums on the back, along with power steering and headers to produce a robust engine sound as you take her over the mountain and through the woods. Drive-Ability The Bali Ha'i called me and I had to take it for a ride. It did not disappoint and was the most fun I've had driving the many cars in our inventory here in a while. An awesome kick is had with a press of the accelerator, plenty of straight bias free whoa on the solid braking, and solid handling was exhibited. I notice the engine had a bad miss at idle and while driving. Also the horn does not beep. Plenty of thoroughbred power, the sure footedness of a mountain goat, and looks to attract attention like a Clydesdale, this fine example of the Ford Bronco from 1976 is just a load of fun to drive and looks great while doing it.
