West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely stunning 1932 'Deuce' Ford Model 'B' Highboy Roadster Hot Rod which is titled as a 1932 Ford and which represents an outstanding example of a traditional Hot Rod conversion! This fiberglass 1932 Ford Roadster is powered by a small block 327ci Chevrolet and is backed by a 350 Turbo automatic transmission. Features include chopped windshield, canvas top, 3-piece hood with louvered hood sides, detailed chassis, tilt column, dual circuit brakes with front & rear discs, and Jaguar rear end rear 4-link suspension. The fiberglass body is refinished in a Custom Porsche Dark Blue Metallic and is built Highboy style without front and rear fenders or running boards. A steel 3-piece hood with louvered sides has been installed with a color matched 32 Ford grill and insert. Chrome round sealed beam headlights are mounted low, to the upper front shock mounts just behind the chrome front spreader bar. The chrome windshield has been chopped and rectangle billet aluminum taillights, as well as a color matched gas tank with chrome spreader bar have been added to the rear along with a rumble seat with battery in an enclosed box. The oval dual exhaust exits underneath the gas tank.A set of chromed Zenith spoke wire knock off wheels with spokes and polished lips are wrapped with BF Goodrich staggered sized tires. The interior is furnished in a classic Tan leather covering a pleated bench seat and door panels with pockets with matching carpeting covering the floor panel. A Tan canvas soft top is included. The 1932 Ford style wood dashboard houses 6 round gauges mounted in an aluminum panel underneath. A Nardi 3 spoke wood steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column. The 327ci V8 Chevrolet engine is backed by an automatic transmission. An Edelbrock carburetor with manual choke, HEI distributor, finned aluminum valve covers, block hugger headers, chrome alternator and oval open-element billet aluminum air cleaner complete the engine. The chassis is composed of 1932 Ford outer frame rails which is boxed and with a removable transmission cross member. The driveshaft, rear axle, and backing plates, are colored matched Custom Blue to the body. A chrome 4-link and panhard bar with coil-over shocks locates the rear axle. Full-length dual exhaust can be seen exiting at the Jaguar rear end. A rear axle pinion mounted emergency brake has been added. The body floor has been smoothed and painted Custom Blue to match the exterior. While retaining the basic external looks and characteristics of this 90 year + old classic car, this highly desirable deuce '32 Roadster looks just as if it were fabricated way back in the fifties or early sixties.Obviously always garaged, covered and with no accidents since the build, owned and driven since then by only obviously very careful and meticulous owners - never ever abused - babied all the way! The 'Custom Porsche Blue Metallic' color paint is in beautiful condition and the car is believed to have only very few miles on the build. The seats and interior are also in very good condition with only very minimal wear and this Hot Rod drives exactly like a newly built low mileage rod should, the rebuilt small block V8 engine is extremely strong with no oil leaks and the temperature always remains cool. You will look long and hard to find a finer example of this genuine 1932 Ford and as we all know, only a deuce is a deuce! The 1932 Ford is regarded as being the definitive hot rod and has been since the birth of hot rodding as we know it back in the thirties. The Deuces popularity is easy to understand as in 1932 the Ford engineers developed a worthy successor to the obsolete Model A, a masterful new design with more power and more elegant lines and the timeless grille of the Deuce meant that no other car was as sought after for hot rodding into the forties and they remain as popular today as they were then! Stock '32 frames provide substantially greater torsional rigidity than the previous 1928-31 models and since 1932 was the first year of production for Ford's V8, installing a later V8 was easier than before. Also the Deuce was the only car Ford ever made that had the sides of the frame rails exposed. This particular 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster has a steel hood, grille and louvers and is as nicely done a custom Deuce as you can hope to find and a pure statement of individuality! It will undoubtedly continue to prove to be a very worthwhile investment for the Hot Rod or Deuce enthusiast or simply easily prove to be the most fun you ever had in a car!
