1949 FORD F1 SHORTBED PICKUP TRUCK
This is a really solid truck to start with for a restoration, hot rod, rat rod or whatever turns your crank. Very little rust. These trucks are very popular for restoration, so parts are inexpensive and readily available for all kinds of builds. Clear title in my name. All the details are below.Feel free to ask questions. Please read payment requirements. I accept wire transfer only. Your bank can help you with that if you need, and it's pretty easy. I can help arrange shipping if needed. Thank you.
MECHANICALThe truck has no engine or transmission. It is stock with the exception of a tilt steering column. The pickup rolls, steers and the brakes work. There are many pre-fab engine mounts available for a variety of engines. There are also aftermarket subframes and complete frame/suspension kits. This has the factory straight front axle, which makes it easy to do a gasser project if that's what your doing. Some people prefer to go to a more modern subframe to get powersteering, power brakes, and independent from suspension.
BODY
The body is solid with very little rust. The front floor pan has very minor rust on the passenger side that you can see. The box has rust in the stake pockets. New glass kits are $300 for all the glass. The doors and hood operate and latch as they should. I have some extra parts that come with the truck, including a complete gauge panel. There are dents that need repaired, or just use it as-is with the patina. I'm sure the truck was originally red. New tailgates are $275.
INTERIOR
There's not much to the interior on these, even when new. The seat needs recovered. Headliners and floormats are readily available and pretty inexpensive. New door seals and glass seals are readily available. I have a complete gauge panel that goes with it and some other parts.
This old classic is sold as-is. Thanks for looking. I accept wire transfer only for payment. It is very safe and fast. Your bank can call my bank if needed if they'd like to confirm everything is legitimate. I need to have full payment received within three business days. I will store the car for one month free, and $50 a month after that. I'm easy to work with. I am happy to help arrange shipping if needed.
