Up for sale is my 1939 Ford Business coupe. Gorgeous car.
I'll tell you what I know about the car. The guy before the guy I bought it from did the restoration. He was a very picky person and restored it almost completely to stock. The guy didn't take any shortcuts and did little things like the correct (not a painless) wiring harness. Painstakingly repainted the dash and garnish the correct colors (its much easier to paint them black). The seat covers/door panels, headliner, etc are all correct. Most cars these days are done more with the thought process of "well, to restore a stock seat, new foam, powdercoat the seat frame is going to cost $2,000, so lets just buy these buckets from Speedway motors for $500". This is not one of those " well this way is cheaper" type of cars. I don't know why the guy sold it, but eventually it was sold to the guy I got it from. The guy I got it from was having a GTO restored, he wanted something to cruise in while his GTO was in the shop and thought it was a cool car. His wife did not. His wife thought heated seats, satellite radio, having a backup camera, etc were life's necessities, so they bought a new corvette and put this up for sale. That's where I came in.
I didn't do the restoration, but I'll tell you what I see walking around it. The body and paint are so nice you'll cringe when you get a rock chip. It probably has a rock chip here or there but I don't see any. The bodywork looks nice and smooth, which means they took there time making sure it was right before painting it. The bumpers have a few spots that show imperfections, but honestly just walking around the car you don't notice them. The stainless shines like chrome and I'm sure it was restored. If you want to get really picky the hood latch has a couple imperfections as well, but its very nice. The running boards are originals, the covers look pretty darn good, but they do have hairline cracks, Unless your turning this into a trailer queen that never gets driven they are too nice to change.
As far as the interior, it looks like it was just done. The seat is nice and comfy, the springs don't sag or do anything weird when you sit in it. The headliner is nice and tight, isn't full of ripples or anything like that. The windows roll up and down smooth as glass, doors shut nice, things are aligned well. Just a well done interior. I haven't tried the heater, the radio, or the wipers. I assume they work, but I never drive it when its cold, I don't listen to the radio when I drive, and I would never consider driving it if a rain cloud was in the sky, so those three were not important to me. If there is a flaw in the interior, the floor matt shows some wear, but you sit in the car, thats where your feet go, its going to show something. If your turning it into a trailer queen its pretty easy to change that rubber matt.
As far as I know the engine is stock. I haven't driven it thousands of miles, but it runs good. As far as I know the transmission and rearend are also stock. Whoever did the transmission did a amazing job, its the smoothest shifting flathead transmission I've ever driven. The steering is stock, it steers like it has power steering even thought it doesn't. The brakes are hydraulic brakes and work excellent as well. It just a well sorted out car, ready to get in and drive.
The trunk, well its the trunk. Obviously restored at the time, but its had a suitcase or lawn chair in it a couple times. Basically there's a couple marks here or there, but again unless your building a trailer queen its nice as is.

I really don't want to sell it but I'm losing storage and don't have a choice. Trades I suppose are possible, but won't really help with my storage problem.
I deal with trucking companies daily for work. If you need help with transportation just ask.
I want to be paid in full within 48 hours after you purchase the car. I will only accept cash when you pick it up or a bank wire transfer.
