1978 Ford F-250 · Truck · Driven 80,000 miles(engine & trans) 1978 Ford F-250 I was in the process of restoring this truck. No, it was not rusted. I’ve lightly sanded and primed it to get ready for paint. It only has a couple minor dings that have been fixed. I removed the pinstriping and sanded it down and primed it to be painted but have completely run out of time to finish it. I’m adding a couple photos before I started on the sanding and paint. This truck was my dad’s and has been in the family for 25 years. It is listed as an F150 but it has the running gear of an 8100 gvw Camper Special, with over loads. Engine- 1978 460 Police Interceptor (not cruiser) Edelbrock performer 460 intake manifold & matching Edelbrock 600 cfm carb w/ electric choke. New Excel electronic points eliminator and matched excel coil. New factory size, 4 core aluminum radiator w/ dual electric fans. New Edelbrock 165° Thermostat. One fan wired to ignition, one fan turns on at 185°. New water pump. Dual exhaust Transmission- three speed automatic. 17” aluminum wheels with New Goodyear wrangler radial tires.
