1985 FORD E-250 ECONOLINE 4X4 CAMPER VAN

1985 Ford E-Series Van Additional Info:

1985 Ford E-250 Econoline 4x4 camper van! This has been converted to 4x4 with a Dana 44 up front and a Dana 60 in the rear. The people I bought it from had replaced the engine when they bought the van 20 years ago, so it runs well. It is a 300 cubic inch inline six cylinder with a 3 speed automatic transmission. Don't expect to win any drag races with this setup but it has the torque to move this beast well in off road situations. Power steering and power brakes.
Amazingly I found an RV setup from a guy who was outfitting a 1976 hi top and was going a different direction with his build. Custom made for the third generation Econolines, everything fits great! Wardrobe, ice box, stove top, sink, couch that converts to a bed, removable table, and a cabinet for a commode. It is a great use of space as you can see from the photos. I have not hooked anything up; just secured all of the items in place. Great foundation to build a perfect boondocker!
It will need a windshield. Unfortunately with all of the hailstorms here in Colorado the wait time for glass is several weeks out. The paint was done personally by the previous owner. It isn't great but it has helped preserve the body. You likely know how prone these vans are to rust. This one is not all rusted out like most.
Let me know what questions you have. It is too tall to fit in my garage so I really don't have a great place to store it. Come take it for a test drive and then take it home!
