1991 Ford Mustang Coupe. Condition is "Used".
Exterior - Was painted base coat / clear coat its original Bimini blue using PPG paint. Both front and rear bumpers, all the molding, and all the weatherstripping were replaced with new. The run channel weatherstripping was not replaced, but I have them new with the sale. Both front and rear headlight kits are new. Tires are fairly new with less than 200 miles on them. There is a flaw on the passenger rocker under the door - looks like the infamous wrong place to set a jack stand. You probably wouldn't have seen it walking around the car, but it's there and I'm pointing it out. I was told an inexpensive repair and the car is always stored inside so easy to match paint. All the emblems are new.
Interior - Seats were replaced with period correct 5.0 seats. They were purchased from someone that had stored them since 1992, so almost perfect. New carpet and headliner. A/C, Heat, Gauges, Radio (replaced prior to me), work as they should. All new Kicker speakers. The sunvisor vanity lighting does not work. I have another set of sunvisors that go with the car. Trunk retains all its original panels, carpet, spare tire board, spare tire, and jack. Window tint is a couple years old, but the car is rarely driven, so still looks new.
Drivetrain - Original 2.3L with AOD, however I owned a '91 Bimini Blue hatch, too, that I swapped the T5 from; period and factory correct. The AOD was burned up when I purchased the car. 8.8 swap with 3.23 gears, Ford Racing Differential Cover, Summit Racing control arms, Koni orange shocks, and factory 5.0 brake lines purchased from LMR. Front brake calipers and hoses are new with new brake pads and shoes, front and back. The tailpipes are correct for a LX, but it is only single exhaust. It is mostly straight pipe with a muffler, so louder than stock. I do have a short video of the car running.
The purchase does come with the additional turbo motor shown in the pictures. My plans were to swap, hence the 3.23 rear end gears. It has billet 5.5 rods, JE pistons, stock ranger cam, and pimp ECU. I was told the turbo is a Hx35Holset. Head has bigger stainless valves, mousetrap clips, and double valve springs, but I've never taken apart to confirm. I have many parts that will accompany the buyer: a couple intercoolers, wiring harness, piping, another flywheel and clutch, bov, and wastegate. I do have a short video of the turbo motor running before purchased.
I'm unable to remember everything, so please feel free to contact with questions and for additional information. I have additional pictures that can be sent since eBay only allows 24 pictures. I may edit the description throughout the auction with updates, as they come to me. Remember, it's an old car, so it's not going to be perfect.
Update (11/22): I have two (2) sets of keys for the car with one of the sets being the original Ford factory keys. Rear has UPR upper spherical axle bushings. New rack-n-pinion, outer tie-rods, and alignment. New Alternator and factory correct battery cables. The autocheck report reads: Minor accident or vehicle damage reported: Roof. The car is insured through Hagerty and I submitted a claim for very light hail damage that was repaired - paintless dent repair (PDR).
I do require a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours upon winning and/or purchasing the car. I'm also happy to work with a bank or lending company. I do retain the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. I will entertain reasonable offers and no trades accepted at this time.
Thank you for looking and your time.
