1966 Ford Mustang Additional Info:
Up for auction is a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. This is an A-code car with a 4-bbl carb. It has a strong running 289 V8 that sounds great with the dual exhaust (not original to the car). The mileage reads 24,555 but I assume that that is 124,555 and I believe the motor has been rebuilt at some point. It runs great with no issues. It has a C4 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts strong but does drip a drop or two of fluid as most C4's do. The car has power steering that works great but it also has a leak down at the steering ram. It also has factory power brakes (drum). It has the 5-lug front and rear end. The car idles, runs, drives, stops, and handles like it should. You do have to pat the gas to get it started if it has sat for a few days without running. The choke needs to be adjusted, but it runs so well otherwise that I hated to mess with it. The tires are older but in great shape and hold air with no problem. The body is in VERY good shape. I have checked all of the normal rust areas and this one is incredibly solid. I have taken it to some Mustang guys and they all have said that you normally don't find these Mustangs with a solid body like this one. That being said, it is not perfect. It needs to be repainted (has been painted at least once). It has some paint chips here and there but nothing at all major. The underneath was undercoated at the dealer or factory (not sure if Ford offered the undercoating from the factory). The car has a new power brake booster and master cylinder, new shocks, new dimmer switch, and new carpet (molded with factory-style driver's floor reinforcements).
The interior is in great shape for the age of the car. The guy I bought it from said that the seats and dash are original (I'm sure a true Mustang guy can confirm or refute that).I replaced the bushings in the shifter so it is now nice and tight. It also has a new gas tank, new sending unit, and new rubber filler tube along with a new trunk liner. All doors and windows work as they should. Original ignition key and trunk key along with multiple copies of the originals. AM radio works and also has a FM transmitter under the dash. All of the lights work as they should and the blinkers cancel correctly. Heater works. All of the chrome trim is original to the car. I am the third owner of this vehicle. It is a California car. I bought it from the man that purchased it from the original owner in California around 1970. He moved to Arkansas and brought the car with him. I have tried to tell all I know about this car but if I have left something out, please feel free to message me. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer but I will be happy to help load it up. Thanks for looking and good luck!!

Just to clarify, this Mustang will need to be repainted but can be driven as is. The paint is bad but the body is good. Thanks
