other items
front factory disk brakes, rear brakes converted to aftermarket disk brakes
engine stock rebuild 289 4V, with factory cast matching C5 intake, and headers
pulleys & anything obvious needing a C5, we searched for it and bought it if available.
The C5 (1965) factory valve covers, exhaust duct & air cleaner all ford original 65 dated but not on car but included in this auction
The chrome valve covers currently on engine go with the car, and are aftermarket.
This is not a restored car, just a very functional, working driver..... things needing replaced if missing were, if it could be fixed it was, if neither, then we bought it new from mail order shops.....
glass, trim front and rear bumpers all in nice driver condition
front and rear valances are straight and nice condition, the front is an aftermarket valance
interior - buckets, head liner, carpet, rear seats all nice driver condition
exterior - all sheet metal, no damage or rust, nice driver condition
what it needs,
1) your color paint (original color was a pale yellow) car is in primer (DTM type primer)
2) interior panels need put in place once car is painted new black included
3) carburetor adjustment (recently professional rebuild) holley
4) brake rod, we installed one that was too long, since have ordered the correct one, that is included
5) four disk brake proportioning valve adjustment between rear and front. they work but fronts brake first
6) some gap adjustment, doors, hood, truck, as they are on loose for painting.
7) probably other minor things... you decide... remember this is not a show car or restored, but a clean driver as is.
car will run and drive on the road as is, with better carb adjustment ...
additionally there are several new parts included in the sale, such as front blinker light assembly, black door panels, various emblems, gas cap, and more all newly purchased from mail order mustang catalogs....
metal panels, doors, fenders are straight with no rust, very clean 40+ year old car.....
minor rust in about 1 to 2 inch due to wet rags sitting in the truck next to the filler stud.
car may be available locally, which may determine the auction ending date
these A codes selling for 20K plus of course painted and perfect and this one is not, but all those on sale are auto trans, this one is factory correct 4 speed.....
we welcome and encourage visits, inspections or other, we will consider international and of course domestic, but ask the buyer coordinate all scheduling and pay those costs....
questions welcomed as well, and I will update the auction if there are no bidders, once bidders are in place, updates are no longer possible according to ebay process. the EBAY process is that once there are bidders on the auction there are NO updates or edits allowed, I just went through that on a 71 mercedes we are selling, which is dumb cause I like updating the auction with peoples input and photos etc.... so if the reserve is not met, the car would be relisted if not too much to relist.... it is a low and very reasonable reserve based on A code manual trans.....
600.00 deposit immediately following the auction which may be none refundable depending
balance in full within 48 hrs, cash or cashier check preferred, as paypal asking 3.5%, other payment terms should be discussed

- window trim missing, it was damaged during removal, we started gathering various pieces that are ford made, but not yet complete- the original front valance is not available, it wasnt there when the car was purchased- the front blinker running lights are aftermarket but complete assemblies- hood hinges and new springs are both new after market and work & align like original, totally functional- original rims for 65, are not available, the cragers and tires are near new, only minimal miles,
- no power steering.- was asked if GT, no clue, dont care, and not being sold as one.... it is difficult to determine true factory original GTs as you all know, all the GTs parts on some restored cars have the GT options but are not true GTs from the factory, just looks like it, but still everyone likes the looks so no big deal... it might be, as there are dual exhaust hangers, and the front rad core support has the extra holes for the grill fog lights, but it does not have the round cluster gauges used on GTs (we think), .. who knows, 50 years old, sold as is -
as a non-GT and be surprised if it is....- yes, new gas tank as mentioned before along with many other new parts, springs, etc.
- yes the window cranks and door pulls are present but used, original driver condition- yes it will need door locks,
- yes the truck lock is present and works with original key as does the ignition (each have their own key).
- yes lights works,
- asked if we would paint - yes, but the car has to be paid for in full, including paint labor cost, we have access to a paint booth, and an excellent painter. The basic, white, red, grey colors about $ 2500.00 to paint..... unless the original yellow is requested about the same price.... the total paint, could be as little as $2000.00, as they might waiver the booth usage fee.... I would pass that on to the buyer, if that fee is waived.... the paint option could be single or two stage, up to the buyer.
note: only reason it has not been painted is because we are not professionals and do not know the best color to paint it, and the yellow just doesnt work for me, and anyone could see what under the paint.... ..... and surely I would select the wrong color,,,,, the buyer has the option....
again, questions answered from several emails, but as mentioned, this is NOT a restored car... simply a nice complete running functional driver.... hope this answers the current questions, respectfully submitted
