Here we have up for auction a 1963 Ford GalaxieXL 3904 speed Convertible. This car was purchased from the original owner not long ago. Very high optioned XL 500 convertible with a factory 4bbl big block 4 speed and other options such as power windows, AM/FM radio, tinted glass, wire wheel covers etc. Classic period correct Champagne color scheme in and out. Original drive train consisting of 390 4 bbl engine and T-10 4 speed.The car was purchased new on April 1 1963 from Cliff Heath Ford in Pittsburgh PA. Have the original window sticker and selling documents along with a singed title from the original owner. It is turnkey and drives reasonably well but could use a tune up. Everything works including the power windows and power top. The Odometer shows 36000 miles, but I bed it has been around once.

The car was repainted once years ago with some recent touch up / blending in areas to complement its pleasant appearance. There was some frame rust that was professionally repaired by a race car fabrication shop and I venture to say the frame is stronger now than it was new in this area. Other typical body issues that 63 Galaxies experienced have been taken care of over the years as well. Overall, it is a very presentable car. Unlike a modern-day sports car, it drives like a classic early 60 ’s full bodied boulevard cruiser. The factory Original tonneau cover and fender skirts come with the car.

This car presents itself very nicely but is a classic example of a 10-footer. It is a great entry level classic car for cruise nights etc. that someone can build upon and improve with some TLC. Very attractive car that would be perfect for the enthusiast. Put the top down and pile the family on board.
