1964 Ford Thunderbird Additional Info:

2 Owner 1964 Ford Thunderbird with 390 Engine, automatic transmission. All body panels are original to the car. The owner did say the 390 engine is not the original, it was replaced with another Thunderbird 390 sometime in the 70's. The car is an eye catcher as it sits With a body in very good condition and the interior in better shape than most 10 year old cars I have seen. No rips in the seats or the carpet. The car starts right up and idles nice and smooth.
The only things I found flawed on the car was the paint It is cracking in some spots and has peeled in some others. On the back right panel behind the tire the paint is bubbling a little from rust underneath (about 3 spots, one the size of a half dollar the other two around dime sized). The air conditioning is unplugged, the compressor seems to try to kick on, but it is out of Freon. The electric motor for the drivers seat isn't working, it engages when you push the switch but the seat doesn't move. The owner of the car said it probably needs cleaned good because the seat hasn't moved in over 40 years. The last thing is the seems on the vinyl top haveseparatedsome over the years and the way he fixed it years ago was to silicon down the two seems.
This car is truly impressive and would be ideal for someone who wants a classic car but doesn't want to have to do a full frame off restoration to have a nice car to cruise on the weekends. If someone did want a car to fully redo all numbers on this car will match except the engine block itself.
I've been watching these cars sell on Ebay in this condition or even a little worse for $8000 to $11000. There will be a reserve to ensure the owner gets close to what he wants out of the car he has babied and taken care of for over 45 years. The auction reserve will be $8000. To ensure only serious buyers are bidding we will require a $500 deposit from the auction winner.
The car is located in Lamoni, IA., which is right on the Iowa Missouri border at exit 4 off I-35 interstate.
