1951 Ford Other Additional Info:
First let me start by saying this is a running, driving, shifting and braking example...Ill get to that later. The Shoebox Ford built from 1949-1951 was a highly popular automobile amongst civilians and commercial duty with its highly durable Flat Head V8, not to mention high performance for the time. This particular car is believed to be a "Upper Penninsula" of MI car its entire life and is thought to be a retired police cruiser. It is a stripped down version with out turn signals. The body is as-is and is not great but salvageable if a body restoration was going to be performed. This Ford has received a full mechanical restoration including a rebuilt transmission, complete brake job, axle bearings and all seals, front end rebuild including king pin, upper and lower control arms and shocks, exhaust and fuel system. There is rust and the chrome is not good. However, this is a turn key Flat Head that starts perfectly, does not leak or smoke and goes down the road very nicely. There is a also a complete brand new wiring harness that accompanies the car as well. The original build date November 13th 1950 and it was the 27th made that day. It was delivered in paint code G or Sea Island Green. All of the work performed has been in the last year. The Ford code is DA70AGB13L27. The owner is part of the Early Ford V8 Club and did the work himself. He has about $3,000 in mechanical parts and his time.
