1928 Ford model A pickup truck with ford dump bed. This is a truck I bought and I don't know if I will have time to get to it. So I'm seeing if there is any interest in it.
Body: The body appears to be solid, but it has flaws. There are dents, dings, etc. The fender lips on the outside have flaws. There are parts of the paint job that look like it was brushed on. If your looking for something super solid to build this is it. If your looking for something pretty, as it sits, it is not.
Engine/drivetrain: As far as I know the engine/drivetrain is stock. It does turn over and was driven not that many years ago, but it hasn't been running in the past year. Plan on flushing the gas tank, cleaning the carb, spark plugs, change oil, flush the radiator, etc. The radiator appears to be original, there isn't a puddle of antifreeze underneath it, but assume it may leak. The tires are newer and are in good shape. The brakes feel okay, but you won't know for sure until you drive it.
Bed/box. The bed/box is a Ford bed, as you can see it says "ford trucks" on the back. The wood on the floor and underneath the bed box is old. It doesn't appear to be rotten, but it has flaws. There is a good chance it is the original wood from 1928. The bed and wood has paint that matches the body. Useable as is, but not pretty. The bed/box does dump/tilt. There is a hand winch crank to operate the up and down.
The interior. The interior is black. I don't know the age of the interior. If your planning on spending 20 grand to make the body perfect you will want to replace the interior. If your just after a fun driver, really the interior just needs a good cleaning.
My plan for the truck was to get it running (which really shouldn't take too much), letter the doors with a old looking logo, and use it to cruise around the car shows. Throw a cooler and a couch on the bed with a bunch of your buddies and have a blast.
I know many truckers, if you need help with transportation let me know
