1964 Ford Thunderbird Additional Info:
1964 Ford Thunderbird, very good condition. I put a low reserve on the listing. This car is original, straight, clean, no body fill, not a trailer queen, but for a driver, it is very clean. Drives nice, runs good, 390 cubic inch engine numbers match the car, it is not a ‘smogger’. I’ve owned it for 10 years, it’s a southern car. I don’t believe there are only 24,116 miles on it but that’s what the odometer says. It’s in such good shape that it could be. The person I brought it from, couldn’t guarantee me the odometer reflected the actual miles. There are blemishes in the interior, it has a crack in the leather on the driver’s door armrest, see picture. The wood grain on both doors has blistered from the sun, see picture. To make sure it was reliable for poker runs and shows, it has a new starter, rebuilt carb, new coil, new distributor with electronic points (Ignitor), mechanical fuel pump, water pump and gas tank. It also has a new fuel level sending unit, new trunk liner, new electric window switches. But I’ve kept all the original parts (not the liner). As of the time of this posting, the rear electric windows don’t work but the front electric windows do work, vacuum air vent works, all lights work, even the fender turn signal indicators. The turn signal lever doesn’t turn off when turning left but it does when turning right. The drivers side Thunderbird chrome emblem is broken, see picture. The Yes the air cleaner in the picture of the motor is not sitting in the correct position I just laid it on for the picture. The passenger side exhaust has a leak at the manifold, it needs a new ‘donut’ installed. It has an older paint job, same color as original and in great shape. The car was professionally under coated years ago (probably what it’s in such good shape now). Tires are nearly new, all hubcaps and wheels are original, spare tire and jack are original. The chrome is not mint but good. I’m selling it because I don’t drive it enough. I have a 2018 Harley and whenever it’s nice the Harley gets taken out, not the T Bird. Buyer is responsible for shipping although I would not be concerned with driving it a couple hours. No warranty is written or implied, it’s an antique and I’m selling it as is.
