This car was purchased new by the original owner in 1984. It was driven daily until 2010 where it was parked in a garage. The original owner stopped driving it due to a small fuel leak at the carburetor. The car, starts, stops, runs and drives. The brakes will need attention and we will also try to have a mechanic look at the carburetor before the auction ends. There is a minor fuel leak/drip out of the carburetor. Due to the amount of local repair shop closures, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to have a mechanic make those repairs. If we cannot, then it would be up the the buyer to do so. The battery is strong and it starts up nicely and idles smooth. The T-tops have some silicone on them due to some minor leaks we found once it was removed from the garage. The floors in this car seem to be solid and we do not see any significant rust on the car other than the usual surface rust. The interior is complete and the original cargo shade is included. The headliner in the car will need repair due to age. The paint shows signs of oxidation and there are a few minor dings and scratches. A new set of 4 headlights will come with the car. It has the factory sport wheels that came on it from the factory. The car has not been modified in any way since it was new. Other than maintenance items, brakes, exhaust, etc... all original equipment style parts were used. The car is complete and runs, it will need to be looked over by a mechanic and some cosmetic items will need to be addressed. The Ford Oval in the grille is faded and the passenger side mirror glass is cracked. The paint may wax back to a shine, however it was raining when we took the pictures, so on a dry day, the red will not be as shiny.
