1968 Ford F-100 Additional Info:
I decided to sell my 1968 Ford F-100 SB pickup. I have owned this for about 2 years. The only reason I am selling it is because I don't drive it much and would like to pass it along to someone who can enjoy it more then me.
I bought this truck from the second owner (1st owner was related to the 2nd owner as I was told). I have alot of receipts and paperwork dating back to when it was purchased. The mileage is original at 71,338 (I can provide proof as I have receipts for maintenance and repairs dating back to 1968). The mileage will go up a little as I do drive it about 2 or 3 times a month to the post office, the grocery store and occasionally drive it to work (about 48 miles round trip). Also, looking at the vin number it was the 329th truck produced from the factory so it was an early 1968 just as a FYI.It has a straight 6 with 3 on the tree (manual tranny). Motor runs good, drives straight, stops straight and starts right up every time. Everything on the truck works except the horn a far as I can tell. The Bad: There are three spots of cancerous rust that I can see (one under the hood emblem on the drivers side, one spot on the drivers lower door corner and one spot on the lower passengers side fender). The seat is ripped on the drivers side and the exterior was repainted somewhere in the 90s I was told. The exterior of the truck was painted and the paint job is poor quality just to be clear as it is fading/thin in spots (The door jambs, dash, interior and the inside of the bed are all original paint and in great shape for the age). Because I don't drive it a whole lot, sometimes the choke get's sticky so you have to spray some carb cleaner where the choke cable attaches to the carb (I believe it needs a new choke cable and those are pretty cheap). The Good: This is a very solid truck. It has always started right up without issues, the motor runs good (no smokes or leaks), the tranny shifts good and the clutch works well. The body is in good shape (besides the cancerous rust spots noted above) and it is not all dented, dinged up or used hard as you can see from the pictures. Also, the inside of the bed is in great shape as well. To me, those are signs that showcase it has had an easy life and has not been abused. The truck did have a canopy on it for most it's life until right before I bough it. The brakes are new, the doors open and close easily and overall it's just a great truck. It has survied over 50 years and has not been abused or used hard or modified besides the stereo being installed and a aftermarket seta belt in the middle.
There are a few bumps and bruisers over the past 50 years of using this truck as expected but overall it's a very good truck. You can use this truck as is or it would be a great truck if you want an easy restoration project.I do have a video of it driving if you would like me to send it to you, or if you would like more photos or details just call or text me at 2532seven8five4oneO
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
